I love this place. been here several times. But tonight was horrible Michael, I think is the servers name he was really rude and didn't care. We ordered a PATTY MELT with extra extra grill onions [we had this dish many times here is our favorite].
When he brought it to our table, it smelled like onions. So I opened the sandwich and The Onion was 100% raw. I let him know onions were not grill Show him different big pieces of onions with red and white [all onions were raw]. They were really smelly, He said, I promise you they are grilled Told him I would not eat it like that. I do not like Raw onions. He said they are grilled. I promise you they grill, and then he walked away. He never came back. He did not offer any suggestions like I'm supposed to eat it when he brought something that we did not order. I called the girl (waitress) to show her the onions. She said they're not grilled l. I'm sorry. I can offer you another one, I will have them remake it. I told her no I was really mad. This never happened here. This guy's always been really rude with us. Do not like his actitud. Let her know I will pay for what we ate and drink. But I want to go, so she brought the bill we paid and we. Left.
I felt like He wanted to impose on me to eat what he brought, knowing it was wrong. Because of his words and body language. You don't leave the table knowing food is wrong.
This place is great Justin is usually there he is awesome We love the other employees, great customer service and the owner is a great person. It's too bad that there is always a bad person Screwing up...
Read moreMy wife and I finally got a chance to carry out from North Star in North Las Vegas 2 weeks ago. We ordered the Calzone which was great value for the price. The service was exceptional and friendly. After enjoying the monsterous calzone my wife and I agreed that we had to go back and try something different. The following weekend we decided to order the wings, onion rings and broccoli/cheeze soup. I went in 10 minutes early to pick up our oder and was met by a friendly employee whom offered me a beer while I waited. I sat at the bar and lost 10 dollars on the poker machine while I enjoyed a cold beer. A few minutes later our food was ready. When I got home my wife was happy to see everything we ordered was in the bag. However that happiness didn't last long. My wife bit into and onion ring and thought she had chipped a tooth. Onion rings were hard as concrete. We also found the chicken wings to be as dried out as chicken jerky. At this time I was hoping that the broccoli/cheeze soup would save the meal. It turned out to be only middle of the road. I immediately called North Star to inform them of our disappointment in their onion rings and chicken wings. The person taking my complaint apologized and offered us a meal on them if we gave them another chance. I believe North Star is trying really hard to get and to keep repeat customers and I believe they deserve another chance with us. We'll be back for a free meal and I'm hopeful that the cooks just had a rough night on...
Read moreI stopped in last Thursday after a 12-hour day at the office. I found this spot on Google, saw the good reviews, and decided to give it a try. I arrived around 9:20 p.m. and, while Google listed the kitchen as 24 hours, the bartender kindly let me know the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. She encouraged me to order right away, so I took a chance on the meatball sandwich and it was fantastic.
Since my girlfriend was joining me later, I also ordered her a Western bacon burger. It was ready by the time she arrived, and she loved it. The service that night was warm and attentive, which left me wanting to come back earlier to really explore the menu.
I returned tonight and ordered the mushroom, bacon, and sour cream burger. Let me just say it was absolute fire. Do not let the sour cream throw you off. I never would have thought it belonged on a burger, but it was delicious. My girlfriend tried the hot pastrami sandwich this time and enjoyed it just as much.
Justin and Nikole provided excellent service both times I visited. A small but important detail is that they serve Dr. Pepper, which happens to be my girlfriend’s favorite soda. Little touches like that make the experience even better.
To top it all off, the prices are incredible. Many items are under ten dollars, which is almost unheard of these days. Between the friendly staff, great food, and unbeatable value, this place has definitely earned a regular spot on my dinner rotation. Highly...
