I used to travel over 40 minutes just to get some of their fresh and frozen patties. My parents are the ones who told me about this place and they loved their patties so much that even after they relocated to central Florida they would have me bring dozens of frozen patties from this bakery whenever I would go up to visit. When my father recently passed I knew there was no other patties we should have for the reception after the wake than "Best in Broward". I tried placing an order online for 9 dozen patties (3 dzn beef, 3 dzn herring, 3 dzn codfish) but kept getting an "error" message. I tied calling for days and kept getting a "busy" message. I was finally able to get thru via telephone and spoke to Thompson. I explained to him that I had not been able to place my order online and he proceeded to take my order over the phone. I (over) explained that these patties were going to Orlando and were for a funeral so I needed to be sure they would be ready on time. He assured me that they would be and if there was any issues during pick up to ask for him. My bestfriend went to pick up the patties on her way up for the services and low and behold not only was the order not ready, it had never been processed. Furthermore they were out of herring and she would need to wait 15 minutes for them to prepare more. 15 minutes turned into 30 minutes which then turned into 45 minutes. When my bestfriend called to tell me what was going on I immediately asked to speak with Thompson who initially refused to get on the phone. When he finally did I asked what happened to the order I placed and he refused to even acknowledge my question. He just kept saying "we're out of herring" in a whisper. I again asked "what happened to the order I placed with you 4 days ago??!" To which he replied "we're out of herring do you want chicken". I'm sure in the grand scheme of things, they don't care about my business (obviously) but I will never again frequent this bakery. That 45 minute wait ended up having my bestfriend arrive over 3 hours late due to hitting traffic and only getting to the wake in time to drop off the patties and have the guests grab them on the way out. So disappointed in the lack of accountability with this business. They've lost a loyal customer of...
Read moreI ordered 2 dozen patties and a patty Kode two days in advance, meaning by the time I get there my order is to be ready. I also left a note stating that I am presenting the food to a company that I work for so that they are able to receive more orders at a larger quantity and in turn, other major companies will use their services as well. I get there, I have to wait for the order to come out, the patties came out within 15 minutes (I was okay with that). I just had to wait half an hour for my personal patty Kode. I asked what was keeping them and the person stated that the cook made a mistake with my order but they will fix it(they BURNT my food). I stated that I cannot wait that I need to leave (I work an hour away from the store)so they can give me two breads to account for that order. The guy made a face like he could not do that. The cook came out and was upset because I didn't want the Kode anymore (Like sir, YOU burnt my food, YOU are at fault not me). Because of that they asked me to wait another 20minutes. WHO? You guys are already at work, I am NOT, who loses? I DO! As I told "The Best of Broward" I do not have TIME to wait another 20 minutes apart from the 30 minutes that I already wasted on a BURNT KODE, if you do not want to compensate me with an exchange or a refund, I will (AND DID)contact my bank over SIX DOLLARS. You guys need to be more professional and manage your time better.
Yes, your patties are good but your time management needs major improvement, due to this (THOSE WHO CAN HELP BRING YOU TO THE TOP, WHO ARE WILLING TO PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR WHAT YOU HAVE) you will continue to miss out on huge opportunities. I am very disappointed in your company.
DO BETTER SO THAT YOU...
Read more"Service" itself is a debatable thing. Pros: friendly greetings Cons: handling money, heading to the back leaving you waiting snd coming back with food all with no gloves. Young lady serving with no gloves has a hair net but decided (i guess for fashion) has a portion of her hair pulled out on the left side between her left temple and her left eye. What's the point of a hair net?
Ive been at NLB Twice, today being the second time. Same result; s looong wait and the food was reserved hours before. I called ahead to find out if they had patties available and was told yes there are plenty freshly made, i arrived about 8 to ten minutes after the call, there were 3 customers in line before me, i ordered 12 patties (all the same no mixture" paid and waited, by the time my patience began to run short 7 more customers (i counted) 4 ordered bread and left quickly then 2 others got patties and were on their way after a brief wait counting the 3 before me. The ones after me were beginning to complain about the hold up to each other, eventually they got their orders. By this time the cashier was another man and when he asked if he can help me i said i ordered a while ago, he asked to see the receipt, after looking at it he said " we had your order since yesterday and have been looking for you (i figured he was trying to joke but i wasnt in the mood so i ignored the comment). I got my food about an hour or so from...
