Almitas Chamoy and Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in North Little Rock

After previously living in an area with a Mexican Dessert Shop, I was so excited to see there was one nearby when we moved to North Little Rock!

Almita’s is a super cute little dessert and snack restaurant with food ranging from paletas (popsicles), horchata, ice cream, Mexican snack cakes, Takis, elote, to chicharrones. The interior is adorable and very clean.

We got the gansito ice cream and it was delicious and served quickly.

Highly recommend checking them out. I’m hoping they’ll add churros to the menu next as my favorite combo is churros with gansito ice...

Just visited today for lunch, and I had one of the best experiences!

I got elote with everything in it, add nacho cheese and hot chips, a chicken tamale with red salsa, and fruit (watermelon, mango, pineapple, chamoy and tajin), and I paid $13 total! The customer service was INCREDIBLE and fast! Since it is an authentic Mexican treat shop, I used my translator to effectively communicate with the employee taking my order. She was so sweet and patient with me lol.

Definitely recommend supporting this...

I'd like to say it was delicious and the service was great. But we stood there for what felt like an eternity. They said hi but didn't seem interested in explaining the menu or taking our order. There were 4 people behind the counter and it wasnt until I had made my mind to leave and vocalized that we are leaving that someone was interested in taking my order that they wanted to do anything to serve us. So I'll go somewhere that wants...
