The Original ScoopDog — Restaurant in North Little Rock

Exactly like high school cafeteria food. I got two Detroit dogs and My GF got 2 Kansas City dogs. The pictures and the final products are VASTLY different. I understand when Wendy's or McDonalds, etc. make their advertisements look "pretty" but in store food isn't as pretty. This isn't like that at all. This is the difference between Outback Steakhouse and truck stop convenience store hot food.

The Detroit dog picture had a mound of meaty chili on it but the actual hot dog had "dollar store chili sauce" with almost no meat in it. The cheese sauce is like a little league concession stand's cheese sauce for nachos.

The Kansas City dog was so soggy, my GF ditched the bun. I get is has sour kraut on it....but drain the kraut first. The bun was so soaked, it turned into that dough like goo.

All in all, not worth eating at. I didn't expect 5 stars, but this is barely better than a little league concession stand or 90's high school cafeteria. For such a "famous" place....i'd expect more. I make better hot dogs...

Wow! Sweet and Delicious!

TL:DR Hit the ATM (they don't take cards) and drive here RIGHT NOW for a sweet treat! Great frozen custard, shakes, and more!

Details: Make sure you have cash, as they don't take cards, but it's worth the trip by the ATM.

We headed here on a Wednesday night, and while it was busy, they got people through pretty quickly. Drive through is the primary business, though they do have outside seating when the weather is nice.

The custard is amazing, and their combinations are incredible. I had a concrete with bread pudding and butterscotch, and I loved it. We also tried a birthday cake shake and a few "normal" concretes. All were wonderful.

I normally come to Scoop Dog when I am craving a Chicago Dog because they are the closest ones down south that taste like the Chicago Dog, I went there and purchased a Chicago Dog and I decided to try the Big Dog Nachos because a co-worker had mentioned they were good. BOY WAS SHE WRONG!!!! When I got this home for us to each there were the chips, cheese, tomatoes and and a over load of peppers but there was very little seasoned ground beef probably a teaspoon of meat. This was the first and last time that I will be ordering this. IT WAS A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT SINCE THEIR CHICAGO DOG WAS SO GOOD!!!!!
