Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in North Little Rock

I have been to this particular Tropical Smoothie location over a dozen times. The last few times I've been there have been terrible experiences. I've been given the wrong smoothie on multiple occasions and I recently watched an ungloved worker prepare my food, which disgusted me, because I also didn't see him wash his hands. I am most appalled at the service my mom and I received yesterday. We went inside to order and waited for about 10 minutes at the register before even being acknowledged. The young man finally took my simple order... an "Avocolada" smoothie. After I ordered and paid, he went back to taking drive-thru orders, while my mom stood waiting to order for another 5 minutes. As we stood at the register observing the chaos in the back, I noticed a female employee say, "I don't know how to make an Avocolada". I witnessed the cashier step into the kitchen and reach his unwashed, ungloved hand into the receptacle containing the kale and threw a large leaf into my smoothie cup. The ungloved female employee then ripped open a bag of some sort (I assume avocado) and continued making the smoothie. I explained what was going on to my mom so she decided to not order anything. Avoiding confrontation, I unhappily took the smoothie, and didn't ask for a refund, despite the fact I was not going to drink the contaminated smoothie. All customers of this (and other locations of) Tropical Smoothie: BE FOREWARNED OF FOODBORNE ILLNESS! This restaurant and it's employees have low standards for sanitation and hygiene. My husband and I went 20 minutes before closing and ordered sandwiches. The sandwiches were not cooked at all. Not toasted. The cheese was still shredded cheese and mozzarella pearls. I cannot believe how disappointed we were and how awful they were. There was NO LINE. No one in front of us. The workers cannot blame it on “being busy” even though that still would not excuse it. I hope the employees are really spoken to. That is absolutely inexcusable. Who knows if they spit in our food or what else they would have put in it. I’m glad we didn’t order smoothies or I’d be worried what they would have put in there. Do NOT go to this location. We got there at 9:44 and left through the drive through at 9:48. Myself and Husband walked into this brand at 12:32pm. Five staff members were present. Not one spoke to us upon arrival. It took 30 seconds for me to ask if anyone would speak since we've been standing inside this location for 1 mins already. One person turned around and spoke. The rest of the staff continued to remain silent. I proceeded to ask for a business card for this location.

I just can't seem to understand why it's not protocol to greet customers immediately once they enter the building.
