I was introduced to Le Cap, a Haitian cuisine gem in North Miami, by a friend, and I've been hooked ever since, making the 40-minute drive from Margate just for a taste. Usually, I go for the boulette (fried meatballs), which I firmly believe are the best in South Florida. This time, I decided to try the poulet en sauce (stewed chicken). The portion was generous, and the flavor, as always, did not disappoint. The food is delectable, and the experience is worth both the drive and the money.

Ordered 3 dinners: legem, stewed goat, and griot. All came with rice and plantains. The stewed goat was our least favorite and just unnecessarily spicy. The griot was good but really dry, the legem was the winner of the three. The black rice was OK but I wish I had gotten white rice for all. Overall, the meal was decent enough if you're in the area and out of other options.

Every time I’ve come here and ordered,my food is always prepared fresh with nice portions. Some days they won’t have the Black rice or the rice with red beans.Which is disappointing since I don’t like the white rice and Black beans.Their lemonade is absolutely DELICIOUS!

They could improve on customer service and attitudes. I don’t know why Haitians always have nasty attitudes. They also can improve the appearance of the restaurant, it’s very outdated and dingy and as much money as I spend here I’m sure they can afford to upgrade it. Now on to the food I’m not Haitian but geesh the food is amazing! I love the fried turkey and they have the best pikliz I have ever had in my five years of living in Miami. I gave three stars bc of their nasty attitudes and not so friendly faces. That makes the experience terrible when you’re so excited to eat something so delicious. When they realize improving their attitudes are holding them back from greatness and changing that will bring in so much more money they will wish they had changed so long ago. Other than that Yes I recommend Le...

Use to love the place, use to be a regular. They never had a problem wen I asked for no fat on my grio. until they had the audacity to charge me 2$ for not giving me any fat... I mean are u seriously charging me for something I don't want??? By all mean; Some people actually enjoy their fry pork extra fatty, that's just a personal choice/preference, but I have been buying food from this people for 8+ years. You may argue that times change, and granted things such as prices do change, but by no means should any person be charged additionally for some thing like FAT!!!! Unless is LIPO.. And FAT transfer from a...

Update : I stopped going here because their sign reads, creole and Caribbean cuisine, not Haitian. And, I don't respect that. I decided to go anyway, regardless of my position.. Wrong move. There was a lady passing for her food, ahead of me. She was wearing sandals. Here comes a 🐀🐀🐀 and it runs over her toes. She screams. The cashier was nonchalant about it... No urgency at all. I will not be going there again. They need to briefly shut down and eliminate all pests and rodents before attempting...
