We came out to Hank's for a snowy lunch break. Great selection of food, I was torn between the smash burger, cheese steak or shrimp basket. Fortunately, my wife chose the burger with garlic aoli, so shrimp seemed like a great balance. My 2 girls 7 and 5, shared a cheese pizza and oldest had the kids chicken tenders.
Now, I don't usually choose cocktail sauce and opt for tartar instead. Being new, however, I wanted to see if there was a difference and h ad 0 expectations. Boy, was I surprised to be met with a sweet sause that had several seasoning catch my taste buds for a delightful experience.
The Smash burger as well was flavorful. I believe due to the seasoning of the meat, not just being boosted by sauce as many establishments will do.
Fries were crispy, although, I wish we opted to swap for onion rings and didn't realize we both ordered fries. My lack of paying attention.
I opted for the jalapeno Mac and cheese bites which were tangy vs spicy. The cheese was mild and not overwhelming. However, I couldn't convince my kids to look past jalapeno and my wife doesn't care for cheese. I thought they were fantastic and perfect crispy texture.
Kids meals came with a scoop of Farr's ice cream and play dough flavor for the win. We had to try the Pazzokie a chocolate chip cookie baked in a mini cast iron, topped with vanilla ice cream, whip cream and caramel \chocolate sauce, that was devoured quickly. I personally want the imperial coconut macadamian nut next time, and likely moose tracks or caramel caboose scoop, I bet would elevate the dish beyond a comfort food.
Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes. The atmosphere and size are perfect, but I bet with better weather, I may have a wait...

I normally don’t post reviews, but it was so good I had to, even a day after. We went to Hanks last night and we got the (11/10) jalapeño smash burger with waffle sweet potato fries($15), and a (9.8) steak sandwich with regular fries($12-15). Both items tasted like they came off a gourmet restaurant menu. The bread was insanely soft yet toasted, it felt like it was melting in your mouth and so soft in your hands. Both meats were soft and flavor packed. The jalapeño burger meat was shockingly soft and extremely flavorful. I got it with jalapeños, aoli sauce, and the habenaro jam, it added to the complexity and harmony of flavor, not really much spice. The cheese was melted and onions were incorporated nicely in the sand which. The fries, even the sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the flavor was awesome.
Although we were stuffed after eating every bite of our meal, some of the options they had for desserts looked delicious. They had Farr’s ice cream, molten lava chocolate cake and Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Everything on the menu looked awesome and fresh with the best quality ingredients.
My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I’m going back again today before leaving town. This is something I definitely will be craving to come back to. It’s a shame I...
Read moreI ordered a couple hours ahead for noon, and they were packing up the freshly made food right at noon when I arrived. Huge plus for punctuality and food freshness.
When I got my takeout order home, I realized they hadn't given me a part of the order. It wasn't a big deal, so I wasn't going to worry about it, but they called within an hour to let me know that they'd realized they'd forgotten part of the order. They apologized and were SO great about making up for the oversight. I greatly appreciate a place run on integrity and quality customer service. Stellar and friendly staff.
As for the food, everything we had was delicious. Some of the best fries I've ever had (and I'm very picky about my fries). The turkey pesto and cheesesteak sandwiches were amazing, and we loved their fried green beans and onion rings.
Very happy to have this place here in the Valley, and we will absolutely be repeat visitors. Looking forward to trying more of...
