Ogden Valley Pizza — Restaurant in Utah

Modifying from one to two stars, because of the response of the owner. It's a little unfair of me to be so harsh when they do have good pizza. Still, I've heard the excuse that it's "the system that asks for a tip, not us" a lot when calling out this recent trend. The clerk asked me for a tip twice, and I had to say no twice. Anyway, here is the original review. Also, 4.6 is a good rating overall, I wouldn't worry about it.

Good pizza and my wife and I have bought it for our family for years. Unfortunately, they've started asking for tips over the freaking phone. This is not cool. I shouldn't be left wondering whether a bunch of teenage kids are going to be spitting in my food because I don't believe you should pay a tip on take out pizza. If I'm coming to pick up, I'm practically doing the job of a server. Maybe I should start asking them for a tip when I pick up my pizza. If you'd like people to pay tips, expand a dining room and start offering table side service. Tips are for rewarding good service not mandatory minimum job...

My husband and I agree that this is our new favorite pizza place. We've tried three of their pizzas so far and love the taste and creativity. We've had a BBQ Chicken, the IZ (Hawaiian), and the Shawn White. We've eaten a fair amount of pizza at other places and have come to expect the same kinds of toppings on a standard BBQ or Hawaiian, but Ogden Valley Pizza gets creative and adds at least one unique topping that complements the other flavors well. Plus their chicken is seasoned with a great dry rub. The veggies are fresh and their crust and sauces have a great taste. I also enjoyed reading the descriptions for their pizzas while I waited for our order to be done. The menu has some humor in it if you have time to read. Things to know: the prices reflect the above-average worth of their pizza, and the only seating is the outside common area for the businesses of that location, but...

Saturday 1/14/23 @ 7:45 PM my husband went to pick up my pizza and the delivery man in front of me pretty much slammed the door in his face when I was walking in. I went in to ask if my Pizza was ready and they stated it would take another 15 minutes on top of the the 20 minutes I’ve already waited. I witnessed the cashier and delivery man pretty much making out while I’m still waiting on my pizza. Extremely rude and uncomfortable environment to walk into. I hope people’s pizza is sanitary after what I witnessed in this pizza puts t. Probably the last time we order from there unfortunately. We usually love this pizza. He gets home and and the bottom isn’t even done!!!! The top is done but the bottom isn’t done. We have to put it into the oven to finish cooking the pizza. If they would’ve focus on the pizza as much as each other our pizza would have been...
