This is my second time visiting this restaurant, the first time I didn't like something but I couldn't remember exactly why I didn't like it, so I figured give it another try. My sister and I where greeted fairly quickly and seated. I want to make special note that the restaurant wasn't super busy, at the time we sat down there where about 5-6 tables on the patio and about 4 tables inside including us (no tables larger than 4).
A lady brought out salsa and chips and a little while later a gentleman asked for our drink order, we ordered 2 waters. (The table we sat at was near the bar and drink station, 2 tables behind the hostess station) We ordered queso to have with our chips and salsa while we looked over the menu. The waiter left and we could hear and see him aggressivly stabbing at the ice in the machine to break it up with what we assumed was a small scoop. He came back with our waters and we honestly barely looked up because we where still deciding on what to choose from the menu. A little while later he came back to take our order and I realise his hand is bleeding on his knuckles. My sister and I look across the table at eachother like wth?! Why would he come to the table bleeding?! Maybe he doesn't know?? I spoke up and pointed out that he was bleeding and he shrugged it off and replied "yeah, I know.. it's ok" as if my pointing it out was soley out of concern for his cut hand. Not the fact that he's waiting and serving with blood coming out of his hand!! My sister and I ordered but while we waited we watched to see if he went to clean and bandage his hand now that we know it had been brought to his attention. Nope. He walked straight from our table to the computer, printed another customers bill and took it to thier table, made another table some drinks while using the same bloody hand to reach into the ice chest for thier drinks. At this point we had seen enough. We decided not to stick around, that we would pay for the queso we ate and leave. My sister stayed at the table while I went up to talk to the hostess. I asked to pay for our queso and explained that we changed our minds about eating there. The hostess stunned asked why. I told her what we saw and at that moment the waiter comes up to the hostess stand questioning what's going on as he's wiping his hands on a towel. The hostesses looks at his hand and acknowledges to him that he has something wrong and he walks away. She then tells us that they are super busy and that it's ok because he's been wiping his hand on a towel. (at this point I'm about to flip out because I cannot believe what I'm seeing and hearing) I told her it would have taken a few moments for him to go clean his hand up. I also explained why that's extremely unsafe and unsanitary. Why am I having to explain this to someone working in a restaurant?! I hope that nobody who was eating there gets anything from this waiters bloody hand. Completely disgusting for obvious reasons. If this is their standard of cleanliness, and care for handling food and drink then I think others should know. I hate to be a "Karen" but this situation was definitely deserving of...
Read moreDisgusting customer service. You guys know how I am when it comes to that! My meal was burned and my boyfriend's meal was better than mine. They did not respect me coming back to complain about what I paid for it so I will never go back. I wanted extra shrimp and they tried to argue with me about that which I have no problem paying even more for but the responses that were given to me made me just say forget it.
The cashier then tried to act as if I did not have money and like I could not afford the meal which was very offensive. They asked me how many shrimp I had I told them less than 6. When I was at the restaurant I asked him how much for extra shrimp and he never disclosed that they were so-called $0.80 per extra shrimp at all but by the time I was complaining and they called me back a few times there was this whole written agenda so I don't have time for stuff like that.
I had never been there and I've lived close to this place for years and I love Mexican or Spanish restaurants. I was skeptical about it but I'm sure if I was the right color I would not have had a problem with complaining. I normally like to order from a place at least two times before I do a review so upon my second time I brought my boyfriend we went inside we had a glass of wine and waited. My meal was not done well like I asked him to it was cooked too fast it was the hour before close so that was my mistake. Long story short I won't be returning. I spoke highly of the place and beg my boyfriend to try it out and his meal turned out better than mine. I didn't eat my food when I got home I took a few bites and wrapped it up and still had it to prove to them .
I was disappointed, I let them keep the food that I ended up paying for it all because it was a day old they had a problem with that but I'm sick and I didn't have my car. They could care less what I had to say and people like that definitely do not deserve my money.
I actually spoke with two other people about this place and they decided that they were not going to return because they had issues as well ...so that's Distasteful ...women can be very catty....🤷 I will say the inside of the restaurant will surprise you its spacious and the decor is pretty cool. The first meal was good the second meal was trash and bad customer service makes for a spoiled...
Read moreCalled in our order on the way to pick it up. Got there shortly after hanging up so we had a drink at the bar. The staff was very nice, no complaints there. However, we got our food and stayed at the bar for about 10 minutes after getting it to finish our margaritas. By the time we got home (6 minutes down the street from the restaurant) our food was ice cold. Unfortunately, I am not exaggerating. It seemed as if they took a pre made meal out of the freezer and left it on a counter to dethaw. The tacos (or what resembled something that could have been tacos at some point in their life) looked like they may have fished them out of the bottom of the dish sink and molded them into one big pile of gross sopping wet mess. Needless to say, I paid $40 to remind myself why we haven’t been there in quite some time…it also reminded me that the last time I was there, a wire bristle from a grill brush was in my food and was stabbed into the soft palate of my mouth. Glad to memorialize it here for the next time I get forgetful of the past experiences...
