I ordered DoorDash from here on Saturday 4/20 never thinking twice about the date. When I received my order the food reeked of marijuana. Now you may be wondering why I still gave 5 stars. Let me just say this was by far my best experience at Popeyes ever. I ordered a bundle with sandwiches and wings. The piece of chicken on both my sandwiches was massive, cooked to perfection, the perfect amount of sauce the bun was soft and pillowy and the sandwiches were still hot when I received them. Now on to the wings, perfectly breaded and sauced they were all massive, hot and made with love. The fries are always top tier and did not disappoint this time around either. I can picture In my head a bunch of young adults laughing and joking as they prepare the food. Probably made the atmosphere 1000x better than a normal day which regardless of what these managers and corporations will tell you, leads to a much better experience for the customer. Let these employees have fun, let them relieve some stress and enjoy their shift. They are still doing their job and doing it well. Marijuana is not some insane drug it is simply a plant that makes you feel good, and makes almost any activity more enjoyable. These guys did not disappoint and were probably having fun putting together the most delicious meals. 10/10 experience for me and any employee working around 8-9pm on Saturday 4/20 you made my lousy day 10x better huge thank you for that. Read moreI have had consistently negative experiences at this location. The staff regularly mess up orders, and the quality control is non-existent. We got the Mac N' Cheese once and it looked like congealed vomit. It had a gelatinous texture 🤢
The wait times are excessively long, and even after waiting, the orders are frequently incorrect.
The staff turnover is high, resulting in a wide variety of service experiences, ranging from unprofessional to just downright ghetto. Surprisingly, the location in Providence (which actually happens to be in the ghetto) and the one in Johnston are much better managed and don't suffer from the same issues.
This particular location is a complete mess. Several people I know, including my colleagues and family, refuse to go here due to the poor service. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but 9 out of 10 times, I've had to wait between 30 minutes to an hour for my order. It’s unbelievable.
My business partner’s daughter loves the ghost pepper wings, so we used to make special trips just for her, but it was always a dreadful experience with long waits, incorrect orders, or just flat out nasty wings. Inconsistency on another level.
At the end of the day, it's just not worth it. This place needs major help or needs to be replaced. First of all a drive thru is suppose to be the quicker and more convenient option and I understand that isn’t always the case when it’s busy but there could be like 3 or less cars in that drive thru and it takes like 30 minutes to order and get food. You would think a mobile order would be easier since it’s already ordered and u just go to the speaker and go pick it up but nope not here. They will always forget something or give you the wrong order. Pay extra for sauce and they always forget it. (Btw one little sauce isn’t gonna cover 4 tenders and fries but maybe I’m just picky). The drinks at the window never have ice and they charged extra for a drink and didn’t wanna fix it and just gave attitude the whole time. I’m sorry but the foods not that cheap and I better get what I pay for. They act like they have no idea what they’re doing and just slam the window on ya before u can ask for something. Last time they kept saying I didn’t pay for my meal even tho it was prepaid online. Inside is even worse, sit there for 30+ minutes and they mess up the order and take forever to fix it.
