The Social — Restaurant in North Providence

Went in randomly and asked if they could /would accomodate a party of eleven at the last second. Asked if we minded a hightop table and we said we'd prefer a regular table but since we were inconveincing them we would take whatever was available. Without hesitation, waitress and hostess started pushing tables together. In record time, made us a table and got drink orders going!

Hostess noticed my daughters graduation cap in her hand and congratulated her right away, as did the waitress when she came over. Owner even came over to say hello to our party, which to me, is awesome. Place was fairly busy and walking in with eleven people unexpectedly and no one even flinched.

Food was pretty good, decent size portions and we all left with our take out container. The bill for all of us between appetizers, many (many) drinks and huge plates of food was decent as well.

Every single person we encountered was friendly, accommodating and all around just nice people. Almost familiar, like you've met them all before.

The only negative thing is the parking but some of that isn't the lot itself, it's because people don't know how to park.

I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely go...

Review of the Social Restaurant - North Providence

My family and I tried one of the new restaurants in the town of North Providence called “The Social” This building has housed many restaurants over the years and not many seem to last for too long and not many were really that good in my opinion. We have tried this place a few times to see what they had to offer and every time we went on a weeknight, the place was packed so we passed. They have a small lot and really only two handicap parking spots.

I will tell you that it was worth the wait. First of all, the other places basically made little changes with the interior but now it really has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. A great place to eat or just hang out at the bar if that’s your thing. Food was very good and the service was fast and attentive. Over all, we will be back.

And lastly. Thank you to the anonymous person who paid the bill. There are still a lot of kind and giving people in this world. I challenge you to do an act of kindness and not tell a single person. Not easy for many people. But...

This place is just awful. I went here with my family and at first, it seemed like a very good restaurant. However, once the waitress came to our table it just got worse and worse. She took our order to the kitchen and then it took over AN HOUR to get our food. Side note, the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time, and when we got the food it was either burnt, frozen, or tasted disgusting. Also, she got my order wrong even though I kept reminding her of what I was ordering. Also, some of the food took ANOTHER HOUR to come out. Then once I had gotten my food everyone at my table was done eating and we weren't even a big group of people (only 4 people at the table) This is a HORRIBLE restaurant and I recommend not going here.
