I would like to express my concern about a recent experience at the Starbucks location in North Reading. During my visit, I placed a simple order for a Birthday Cake Pop at the drive-thru. However, when I arrived at the window, I was made to wait for 15 minutes. When the employee finally opened the window, she spoke to me in an unprofessional manner, snapping at me for allegedly driving off before she could take my order. This interaction was particularly concerning as it took place in front of my young daughter and while I was on an important healthcare call which was on hold.
When I contacted the manager to discuss the incident, I was disappointed to find that rather than addressing the employee's behavior, the manager defended her actions and attributed the issue to an outdated system.

Each time I order something, its wrong, it has to be repeated multiple times or the barista has no idea what I am asking for. I honestly order a venti blonde roast w/ vanilla every morning, just like that. It amazes me how often its messed up or not the right . Today I ordered a blonde roast and when I got to the window, there was no blonde roast available so they offered me Pike, to which I accepted. When I got to my office and finally took a sip, it was dark roast with no vanilla in it as requested. Read moreA couple years ago this place was so well run. I went in every morning and got the best coffee and the staff was awesome. I moved away for a year and came back, and now this is the worst Starbucks ever. My drink is horrible EVERY morning and no one cares. The staff is terrible and when you meet the manager you know why. 6 bucks for a cup of coffee and you might as well be at a gas station getting coffee. The manager needs to (besides be a different person) teach his employees how to earn tips. These people are supposed to be baristas.
