Chet's Chicken — Restaurant in North Ridgeville

I usually have good experiences here. My visit Monday (6/23/2025) was rather subpar. The woman who served my chicken was extremely rude to me. It was completely uncalled for. I was being very courteous and just trying to grab dinner for my family after a long day of work. She also didn’t give us the salads that were supposed to come with our dinners. When I told her to have a nice rest of her day, she turned and walked away from me. She didn’t even acknowledge me after packing my food up. I don’t need someone to treat me like royalty, but please treat me like a human being at the very least. I don’t care if someone is quiet or doesn’t say much but at the BARE MINIMUM, please don’t make customers feel like they are a personal nuisance to you. Me buying chicken at Lil Chet’s shouldn’t be treated as a personal attack. The young man who was working as a cashier was much kinder. He was friendly and made checking out fast and easy. That was greatly appreciated after my previous interaction. Our JoJos were alright, they weren’t as good as they usually are. The woman who packed my food up gave us three little shriveled up JoJos in each meal. Most of the chicken was good but it seemed like there were old pieces of chicken mixed in with the fresher pieces of chicken. Our drumsticks were inedible. The chicken was so dry and stringy that I nearly choked when I took a bite. I’ve never had that happen here before. I used to recommend this location to everyone for fried chicken. I will start this review by saying that their food/chicken is actually pretty decent. But that's where the positive review ends. The staff is unprofessional and rude, they don't want to help you, and they consistently run out of food hours before they close. Today we ordered multiple pieces of chicken (Two breasts and two legs) and when we picked it up we confirmed the order which we were told was correct, only to discover when we got home it was the wrong pieces. When we called to ask for the correct replacements, we were told we had to BRING BACK the incorrect pieces of chicken and "prove they were wrong" before they would fix our order and give us the chicken we ordered. This policy is absolutely ridiculous as they are just going to throw them away! It also makes us wonder if we are currently eating chicken that other people have returned. Disgusting. Amazing. We have gotten their chicken and jojos several times and it never disappoints. This past weekend we also ordered a large italian sub and it was delicious, the bread was perfect.
