EDIT: You guys are SMART not having a main phone number 😂 I left a voicemail…… I can make chewy burnt pizza myself at home for way less money.
Overcooked again, bad. Large bubbles in the crust that popped up on a Ranger and burned. One is so large it looks like a large meatball. Crust is really chewy. I’m guessing it’s hit or miss here depending on the night.
I’ve been spoiled by Samosky’s lately, so this was overhyped in my opinion by others. It’s good, and the toppings are premium, but the crust is not great. I’ll change my review to 5 stars if you can get it to where I WANT to eat the crust. The pizza sauce is “ok”, it’s not bad and not great in my opinion. We had the Chuck Norris pizza and the cheese bread: the cheese bread is nothing special and the edges on ours were overcooked to where some parts were inedible. The cheese bread is overpriced in my opinion and for the money I would not order it again. The bbq sauce drizzled on the Chuck Norris pizza was very tasty. All toppings were delicious other than the pizza sauce. I’ll happily keep driving past you to go all the way to Valley City if the crust isn’t great!
EDIT: You handle constructive criticism well! (Unlike Mootown Creamery, lol). I will try you again, if you get that crust tasting good I’ll become a regular. I understand about the new oven temperatures. Takes a lot of work to get things...
Read moreLet me tell you something—I love pizza. But I love it so much that if I didn’t watch myself, I’d be working a second job at the Hut just to keep up with my appetite. The problem is, I can’t always eat regular pizza because of the gluten. And let’s be real: gluten-free pizza usually sucks. It’s the sad compromise you make when you want pizza but don’t want to feel wrecked afterward.
But tonight changed the game. Smash Pizza’s gluten-free pizza actually made me happy. Like, “I’m-glad-I-showed-up” happy. From the moment you walk in, they greet you like it’s a youth group that really, really wants you to belong. They’re in your face with happiness—but you know what? That’s cool, too.
And then the pizza hits the table. Instead of the usual cardboard disappointment, Smash somehow pulled off the impossible: gluten-free pizza that doesn’t suck. In fact, I almost wished I felt that classic post-pizza bloat just so I’d know it was the real deal. But even without it, I left completely satisfied.
Final word: In a world where gluten-free pizza is usually the punchline, Smash Pizza has made it...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. We had purchased 2 large pizzas and order of cheesy breadsticks. The pizzas we ordered were cheese (accidentally gave us a pepperoni though) and a perogie pizza. Flavor was decent for the pepperoni pizza. Their sauce was savory and not very sweet (I personally like sweeter sauces) The pizzas was cooked properly (not under cooked or over cooked). Pepperoni's were crispy. The perogie pizza was good, not great. I felt it could have had more garlic and onions and more of a sour cream drizzle on the top. We also had their garlic dipping sauce, which I though was delicious. The cheesy breadsticks were decent as well. I prefer a breadsticks that are a bit thicker, aside from that the flavor was great.
Staff was very friendly and were working hard during their busy time on a Friday evening. We place our order online (they only accept online orders and walk in orders).
Pricing I felt was kind of high. It was around $63 for our order. With the amount of pizza competition in our area, I feel we will order from here again but probably wouldn't make it...
