Food and service were excellent. Prices were reasonable. Will be going back!
Edit: I wanted to add a little more detail as to why I like this restaurant. It really is just the little things I noticed. They all added up to a nice experience that had my whole family talking about it by the time we left. When we walked in the door, their was a larger party waiting and the place looked packed. I was hungry but thought we were going to wait. No problem. But then they were able to seat our party of four right away. Cool! Then they brought us out some chips and salsa. The basket of chips was full. I mean a heaping pile of chips and all four of us were given our own bowl of salsa! We did eat all the chips and still had salsa left. So they brought us out another heaping pile of chips! Thet weren't stingy like some other places. Our waitress was lovely. She was very nice and friendly. I could tell that she enjoyed her job. The whole staff seemed very young but seemed like they could have had decades of experience. I didn't get our waitresses name but I might have been Mayte according to the receipt. She kept my water glass full without having to ask or wait. That's how I know the waitress is going to earn a good tip from me. Another thing i noticed was that the water didnt taste like tap water. If it was infact filtered, then Bravo! Nice job! The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the Burrito Texano. To include steak, chicken and shrimp in one burrito was a surprise to me. Along with the onions and peppers, they were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. The three different sauces were all great! Being a white guy, she told the the green sauce was a little spicy. I can appreciate that but I do like spicy. She wasn't wrong! It was a little hot. I also loved the rice and beans! They paired very well together. Then apon leaving, she bagged the leftovers for us. Like I said it's the little things. My only regret is eating all my food and not having leftovers...
Read moreWell I was super excited to try this place out as my husband and I have passed by this place quite a few times. We ordered to go a few items to just try it out. We got a bean and cheese burrito, a plain cheese quesadilla, the supreme nachos, and a horchata. First, I didn't realize the bean and cheese burrito would simply be a bean filled tortilla covered with their white cheese sauce. I figured it would would have ooey gooey cheese on the inside and not be super wet. (Honestly I'll take the fall for this as maybe I should have clarified, but the menu offered no description on it either.) Either way, my husband and I both didn't care for it. The cheese quesadilla is just that. Wasn't horrible but very small for the price of $3.99. The nachos were probably the most disappointing of it all. All the chips were just soggy within 5 minutes. Really inedible at that point. The toppings were meh but weren't really wet to make the chips like that. For a place called the nacho house, I think they should make sure the chips in the nachos act like chips. The horchata just tasted like a standard mix and wasn't amazing but wasn't horrible. They gave us some salsa that honestly tasted like a spaghetti sauce. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, maybe we should've ate at the restaurant to have a better experience but we were sad with the food we got. Nothing really tasted fresh, especially for the prices. I make better food at home. We probably won't be back. I will note that the inside was nice and we got a good vibe. Everyone was nice inside so it was just the food that really warrants...
Read moreI’ve heard a lot about this place recently & I’ve been wanting to try it! So my sister came into town & we tried it! Service was really slow. We almost left honestly because it took so long for someone to take our orders, or even acknowledge our table. Which was a bummer. We ordered the chips & salsa with the white queso dip. I really liked the white queso dip! My boyfriend ordered the pork burrito and he said he really liked it. It had some spice to it, but it wasn’t too spicy. My sister ordered beef enchiladas with green sauce & one beef taco. She really liked the green sauce on the enchiladas. It wasn’t too spicy for her either. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with red sauce. They said the green sauce was spicy so I opted for the red sauce this time. I didn’t love the enchilada. It was like they cooked just cheese & then rolled it up in a tortilla. So it was crispy cheese but it was separated from the tortilla, if that makes sense. The sauce wasn’t my favorite & I ended up scraping some of it off & adding some of the white queso dip sauce from our chips to it instead. It was a cute place to try, I likely wouldn’t try it on a Friday night or weekend again if I go again, but I would definitely check it out again & order something different. I liked the vibes here, and with all the positive reviews online about this place, I must have ordered the...
