Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience, but also not the worst. I ordered biscuits and gravy, the top of the biscuit was a little hard and dry. But the bottom of the biscuit was rock hard. My friend said her food was good (tuna melt) and she ordered a pancake. The waitress didn't bring syrup or butter for her pancake, I'll let it slide, it was her first day. Two other tables came in and the server took their drinks and their order before coming to check on us. She eventually checks on us and my friend asked for butter and syrup, she sincerely apologized and brought it out. Like I said it's her first day, things happen. Let me clarify that I hadn't realized that the bottom of the biscuit was that hard at this point, I had only eaten the top. We get the check, my friend asks for a to go box, the server asks if I need one and that's when I told her that the biscuit was really hard. She tells a manager about the issue and they're back in the kitchen. I heard her boss or the owner say, "Oh well, she didn't tell you about it when you asked if everything was ok, so just say sorry and don't worry about it." I wasn't very happy but I'm not gonna cause a scene, the owner or manager came from the kitchen and sat with the other table that came in and started talking to them. My friend and I go up to pay and the gentleman from the kitchen came out and apologized and took off the egg that I had ordered on the side, I appreciated that. He promised to make it right next time, and was really sincere. If it wasn't for him they would...
Read moreOh, where to begin. With all the restaurant choices in the area, you'd think a restaurant would be grateful you chose their place to spend your time and money. My group of 4 went here today. After our orders were taken, the wait to get served our food took an extremely long time. That's understandable. What ISN'T understandable is the fact that we saw our meals "sit" in the kitchen window for 8 minutes while our waitress was nowhere to be found. We attempted to flag over another employee and all she did was roll her eyes, pull a face and laugh about us to another employee who then looked our way and glared at us also. One of them must have alerted our server Sandra who then decided to bring us our meals which were not hot, just lukewarm. When we were done we made our way to the station to pay. Nobody was there. We waited for several minutes before our waitress went to find the "eyeroll" employee named Kia. Kia was outside on her phone. She reluctantly came in to ring us up and STAYED ON HER PERSONAL CALL THE ENTIRE TIME SHE RANG ALL 4 OF US UP!! Although the food was good, I will never return. Customer service is equally as important as good food and our experience deserves zero stars. Do better,...
Read moreSo the location and building are a bit weird if you aren't use to Alices from before. It's in the trucker area of NSL and has been in one building or another in the area for atleast 10 years, from my experience. The food is always great... Basically as good a diner as you can get. Today I got takeout for the first time; 3 Denver omelets to be exact. Simple and hard to mess up. The hit every note. Green peppers, onions, ham and cheese. Hash browns were fine. Toast was fine. The thing is, they put these omelets into a tin container(think bajio or cafe rio) and the cheese melted in such a way... After the omelet and browns, a perfectly melted bit of cheese stood stuck to the container. A solid amount. Very, very nice. Anyways, it was awesome.
Point is, Bountiful/NSL only have a few diners and this is a good one. Parking is pretty good as it is in an area for big rig trucks. Oh, the stairs.... The stairs are a bit gnarly. It looks like they may have access to a wheel chair ramp but Im not sure, its off to the side and may be to a different...
