Frankie V's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in North Township

We had a family of 8 after a local hockey game to dine in. Martina was our server, and is also the owner. We sat in the back room as we had two teens with us.

We ordered pizza chips for an appetizer and loved it- seasoned just right with marinara sauce to dip.

The fried calamari came with fresh lemon and was crisp and lightly battered- side of cocktail sauce to dip away!

We asked what was the owner's favorite on the menu, she said pizza, Italian beef, and chicken. We took Martina's advice and ordered one of each.

So, we ordered a pizza with sausage and garlic. Believe me when I say, it came to the table piping hot and smelled wonderful. Thin crisp crust and fresh toppings sealed the deal.

We split an 8 piece of the fried Chicken family style. It included 2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 2 drumsticks. They fried it in clean oil, the left the skin beautifully colored and crispy. No oil flavor just tender chicken. (Martina runs a special with a pizza/chicken combo...fyi)

The Italian beef was on a turano roll, topped with onions, peppers and fresh mozzarella to order dipped or on the side. The dip was amazing and was not salty at all! The fries were crisp and a large portion!

We also ordered Shrimp Scampi 🍤, which was buttery and delicious. It was accompanied by garlic bread that was wonderful.

We ordered a Cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese and bacon, it was cooked as ordered, medium well and the onion rings were hot and excellent in ranch dressing.

All in all a nice place to sit down and eat a hot, family style, dinner..less than $150 with all food and drink items. Martina was wonderful.

Finally was able to check out this place… kept seeing the “Daily Specials” posts on Facebook and had to try it out… went on a Friday night with two guys who can seriously eat… when we arrived the lounge and bar were full… we initially sat in the back room and were told when a booth opened up we could move to it… no problem… ordered cheese curd appetizers and drinks and before we finished the appetizers, we were sitting up front in a booth… excellent service… atmosphere reminded us of a Chicago neighborhood tavern of days gone by… food quality was great… staff outstanding… my only disappointment is that I didn’t try the fish...

Had dinner last night at Frankie V’s. First time there, had always passed this place and wondered how it would be. Well shame on me, should have been here a long time ago. Food was fantastic, service was great and it’s very friendly. It’s very nostalgic on the inside which added to the ambiance. Could not believe the wine selections they had. Full bar, IPA on tap.
