Schoop's Hamburgers Highland IN — Restaurant in North Township

Nothing. Will never go back and pay more for less. Even the website will not disclose the prices because they are so high! My 12 year old son asked me for some money to go get a burger. I gave him a ten, he came later said he owed his buddy money because he didnt have enough. I told him next time to get water. He said he did. Owners have gotten out of control with greed and the prices for a sandwich supercede the price of a meal at a nice family sit down restaurant. A real shame! Today I was contacted by someone in charge or owner of Schoops. He apologized for the price, but made lies and excuses he could not control the price of what everything costs. My reply: You're not sorry SIR! And please DON'T insult me or anyone with that lie of not controlling the price of products through others. You control the PROFIT MARGIN and that is it! You choose what the price is and to insult the average person with EXCUSES is not acceptable! Plain and simple a nice time out with the family is to stay away from your establishment. Your mediocre service is not worth the premium price. I understand you need to profit, but go back to CUSTOMER...

Have not been to schoops in years, ordered a cheeseburger with sauteed mushrooms, did not receive the mushrooms, no biggie. Upon further inspection I noticed a, dry, shriveled piece of meat, with what looked like cheese. I calmly called and spoke with the MOD, (manager on duty) not only did he basically call me a liar, indicating mushrooms were on my burger, but said everything is custom ordered. Fair enough, but my question is, if I have not been to schoops in years WHY wouldn't the man taking my order ask if I wanted anything in the cheeseburger, such as ketchup, or mustard?? Basic common sense questions, because AGAIN I was unaware schoops does not even put ketchup on their burgers. The training is atrocious! I do not work for this company, therefore that piece of information would have been helpful. At one point schoops was delicious, home made, fresh, and worth returning to!! Unfortunately, this company does not care about reciprocating the most logical information, such as: would you like anything else, aside from cheese on your burger?? Extremely disappointed, terrible...

I had such a lovely experience my first time at schoops today. I had the double bacon cheeseburger and it was completely phenomenal and worth every cent. The patties were definitely fresh and all of the ingredients and probably the best bacon I’ve ever had on top of a burger (besides the $25 burger at Au cheval in chicago). My onion rings were so crispy and perfect.

Even better was the conversation and sense of community. I sat and chatted with Lynette and her son for about an hour after I finished eating and every customer that came in chatted along with us like it was nothing. You cannot package that perfect of a place. That just comes with an excellent establishment with excellent food, and even better service with people who love what they do and love serving the best.
