Tandoori Cafe and Grill — Restaurant in North Township

We had a fantastic family lunch at a reasonable price here! How many places can you say that about these days? It looks like there is a busy takeout business, but we dined in their cute seating area. Yes, they have high chairs and made our food mild for our kiddo. The vegetable samosa and cilantro chutney have a very mild heat to them so they are excellent for us, but we didn't share. We split the Bang Bang Mixed Grill which had Tikka chicken breast, Tikka salmon, and lamb kebab mixed with onions and peppers and served with rice. All the meat was so juicy and tender and a little chutney took it over the top. We were tempted by the garlic naan, but we resisted to save room for gulab jamun with ice cream! Drool...gulab jamun is heaven on its own and with ice cream!? We were so happy. This is an excellent addition to the downtown Griffith area. I wish I was closer so I could try all the specials and the naanwich options, but I guess I'll have to schedule a future trip.

This was my first time at Tandoori. What a wonderful first impression!

I had the Smoky Chicken Tikka (mild) and Lavender Lemonade Refresher, in addition to the Veggie Samosa Sensation as an appetizer. The food and drinks were amazing! The dining room is so incredibly charming, and does a fantastic job of feeling like an "escape" from the real world. The service was prompt, friendly, and great. All of this at a solid price, too! I'm so thrilled a restaurant of this caliber exists so close to home.

Tandoori Cafe and Grill is a welcome addition to the growing list of diverse mom'n'pop places downtown Griffith has to offer. So shop local, y'all!

If you love Indian cuisine (or want to try it out), it's worth the trip, and would definitely make for a great date night out, or an place to share a meal with family...

I placed an order today and tried a whole bunch of everything. I’m so blown away by most of the dishes I tried. The paneer tikka and the bang bang mix grill were my personal faves, I highly recommend getting those in spicy hot if you love spice. Will 100% order those again! Aloo tikki chole, chole bathura, and pakora were really good as well!

I called and asked if they were halal and they in fact are, which is awesome for this area!! I also loved the fact that they wrap up hot dishes so that they are hot when you eat them!
