My wife and I went into the restaurant at 4pm. We both used our own phones to use the offer. When I approached the counter I greeted the young lady Shemya and some young man who was also working there. I ask them how are they doing and she looked up at me and gave no response not even a smile. We stand there and struggle to get the coupon. I had just downloaded the app. The entire time this lady never offered to Help us nor did she say anything since the time we came in. After struggling another minute I decided to ask her for help in which she replied that she doesn’t know anything about the app. Apparently she know nothing about customer service either. I ask her to find someone who does and an older Hispanic lady helped us and told use how the process works. My coupon was buy a cheeseburger get one free. I received 2 bacon cheeseburgers but didn’t realize it until e got home. When my wife stepped up once again Shemeya didn’t say anything to my wife. My wife stood there hoping she would address her like a customer supposed to be addressed but once again she got nothing from Shemeya. My wife finally orders her food using her app code and added a biggie bag with a separate order of nuggets. We get home and she realizes that they gave her fries with salt even though she requested no salt. She upgraded her fries to a late but we get home and the fries was a small even though we paid for the upgrade. We ordered the extra nuggets but received no sauce with the separate order of nuggets. This has to be one of the worst experiences my wife and I received from any location. They have someone working with the public that is lacking social skills, professionalism and training. Why would anyone place this young lady in a position that requires her to deal with customers and have no training on how the app works? Why would we pay for upgrades just to find out at home that our orders were wrong? The answer is that the lack of employees may be a factor for the wrong orders but there is no excuse for the unprofessional behavior of the person that was put in the position of dealing with customers. Wendy’s is not cheap and that’s why we use the app. What’s the use of using the app on if the employee doesn’t know how to navigate through it to help customers? My wife didn’t receive her receipt but I received mine. We don’t want anything from you guys other than this email being sent to the manager or owner and it be read to the employees because we don’t ever plan on going to this location again. It is obviously that the manager doesn’t care about customer service because this lady would have never been put in a position to work with the public. What will do is leave this same review in Google, Yelp, Facebook and BBB. UPDATE I never heard anything from the manager at this location. I sent another email and customer service said that they reached out to the manager and that they are sorry the manager didn’t follow up with me. They will reach out again for them to contact us. The bad customer service is a reflection of the management team. When you have a unprofessional manager who doesn’t reply to complaints and allows or encourage this behavior, you see why their...
Read moreThis Wendy's I visited in Hammond, In. on Columbia Avenue was disappointing to say they least. I don't about anyone else, but to see workers handling phones, registers, and people's money, and then to go directly to preparing their meal without washing their hands or utilizing the plastic gloves that are right there, shows a lack of professionalism and respect for customers and their profession. The fries were atrocious. I literally had to walk back up to the counter to show them how hard, old and semi cold they were..and to ask for them to be replaced. The good thing is that the worker I showed them to immediately agreed and asked for me to discard them in the lobby trash containers while they prepared more for myself and my girlfriend. The bad thing was is that I had to wait too long for them while my other food was sitting there at the lobby dining table. It was irritating to wait like that. A customer like me wants to eat all my food at once, especially the fries. They usually get eaten first, because if they get cold, they suck..at least that's how it is for me. There sandwiches are already like warm at best. You don't want to have to reheat food items. You just want enjoy your meal and your stay, especially considering how much these fast food companies charge for meals now these days. My overall view of this particular Wendy's was below standards. and, I'm being nice about it...
Read moreI placed an order for 9 items. I pulled over to check my order and only had 8. I was missing an item and went inside to get my missing chicken sandwich. I couldn't tell if regular or spicy was missing, since I ordered both and they are not labeled. The manager was at the drive thru window and he was the one who handed me my food. He stood by the drive thru area and told me I got all my food in a rude tone. Not once did he ever come to the counter. I said that I was missing a chicken sandwich and all he could say is what are you missing? I said a chicken sandwich but I didn't know which kind. A woman came to the counter to actually help figure this out. The manager stayed by the drive thru. They looked up the order and we went through the bag and I was given the missing sandwich. I actually said "I don't understand why we are being talked to like this over a missing item." I refuse to be talked to this way so I will not be returning.
I am attaching photos of what the food looked like when we got home to eat our cold food. It doesn't look very appetizing and only 1 chicken sandwich has tomatoes. I ordered multiple of the same items and none look the same. Awful store experience. Never will be going here again. No wonder the drivethru is empty, order wrong, missing items, food looks unappetizing, and management using a rude tone with customers instead of being...
