A M A Z I N G
I can not wait to come back. I'm so MAD at myself -this place is right down the road and ive been here for 5 years!!!
The staff is ridiculously friendly and attentive!
Ok im going back to finish my plate .....
Update#1 ... i had to box my food up... i thought i was going to explode! There is also a front counter with all kinda of deli goodies, kuggle, latkes, all sorts of sweets and of course the famous BLACK & WHITE cookie. If you've never had one, you are really missing out!
Update #2 (1 week later)
Ordered brunch to go for the family, we got the challah French toast, cinnamon swirl pancakes with icing on the side, pork roll with American on a challah roll, hash brown sandwhich with egg/american/bacon (I think its called a sandy?) And a few bagles. EVERYTHING was amazing. Not a single complain...nor crumb was left! 😜
They do NOT skimp on the meat! So much meat its crazy! Breakfast and lunch items are PACKED!
I ordered with some hesitation as sometimes to-go-food doesn't always travel well - not at Mannys! The food was very fresh and well packed - actually, thoughtfully packed. They put foil under the toast and pancakes to keep it hot and avoid the sweating that would normally happen in the containers. Nice touch. Also good napkins & smucker's syrup .... those two things are super important especially if you have kids!! 💯/💯
Basiclly... this place is awesome again and again!
My only complaint is I need a nap after every time I...
Read moreI always have this love hate relationship with a Reuben sandwich, and it always puts me in a mindset whenever I get to try a new place that offers this fare. Manny's deli made me notch the Love category for this sandwich on my visit. On the onset, they served the sandwich open faced which gave way to my appreciation of the corned beef that were thin enough but didn't appear skimped at all. The meat was mild that lent a nice contrast to the sauerkraut. The cheese was mild as well that for me it was there for the texture more so than for flavor. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of the dressing and it made it less messy to eat. The homemade pickle wasn't overpowering either and it had a nice firm texture that gave it a nice crunch. I paired the sandwich with a pint of Mushroom and Barley soup. It was a delight in its own ; hearty with a generous amount of barley ,that I think they should rename it Barley and mushroom as suppose to Mushroom and Barley😄. It was savory and the intact mushrooms and barley are a nice contrast to the blended mirepoix base. The broth was velvety with every sip and gained a satisfying verdict from me. Even just availing my order as a take out , it was just indeed a pleasant experience as evidenced by the friendly , attentive ,and genuine service. Another gem for Holland...
Read moreThere are a handful of Jewish/Jewish-Style Delicatessens in the area and Manny's is among the better ones. The portions and prices seem to be in line with one another, and the food is as good as it should be!
Eating-in is a simple, classic affair and, like any great deli should, they will deliver catering platters to your site if need be. Just recently, we had a small impromptu family gathering on a hot, summer day and, instead of cooking, we called ahead with short notice and Manny's made us a beautiful mixed deli platter that was to die for!
For ten bucks a head, It included four choices of meats, 2 cheeses, crusty rye, fresh challah, pickles and two side salads. It was displayed beautifully and I'm lucky I got any pictures at all because everyone was ready to dive in once it was unwrapped.
The only issue I have are the hours. Oh Manny's, why can't you be open later? I can't get there most days and we generally eat dinner later so I don't get there anywhere near at often as if like. Better yet, how about...
