Goode & Fresh Pizza Bakery — Restaurant in Northfield Township

Goode and Fresh - should be Horrible and Stale - more truthful. The owner of this place is rude and treats his customers like THEY WORK FOR HIM. We placed a $40 order in advance and got the wrong pizza. We immediately called Pizza Bakery and informed them. The owner JAY told me it was "the driver's fault" - never said he was sorry for the error he- told me he would send another pizza to us and was totally rude. We offered to pick up the pizza - he said it was still cooking. Then 1 hour later our pizza arrived - correct order - just cheese - but Jay the Owner made sure our pizza was undercooked with the cheese sliding off the crust. He did this on purpose - it was so bad we threw it out. Jay - the owner of this Pizza Bakery does not deserve your business. He wants to blame everything on the poor delivery guy - who owns the company - the owner or the delivery guy - who is running things at this BAD & STALE PIZZA BAKERY - We will never order from them again or recommend them - their pizza is terrible and their service is even worse. In these hard times when good and honest people who own restaurants are really hurting for business. this guy Jay - Owner of this pizza bakery does not deserve your business. He is rude, incompetent, unable to take responsibility for his own errors and totally doesn't care if his customers are unhappy. Please spend your money at a place where they appreciate the customer and understand customer service. This Jay guy (the owner of the Bad & Stale Pizza Bakery) doesn't know it, but I work for a very, very large corporation in the north burbs and we spend a lot of money - but no more - we will never order from this crappy place again. I can describe my experiences with G&F in one word: inconsistent.

The good: when its done correctly, the pizza is good - toppings are good and fresh, and taste most excellent. Crust is soft in the middle, lightly crispy on the outside. Sauce is refreshing, way better than most fast food pizzerias, seems to have a bit more on oregano, I think...

The bad: This one and only store don't have decent personnel or hours. People there are rude, practically throw your food at you, and they just walk away from you as soon as your transaction is done. Like getting the back of disrespect or the face palm. Order from the phone, your orders tend to be inaccurate.

The ugly: Make sure your order is correct by double even triple checking. I went to a B-day party and one of three pizzas was with peperoncini - it was ordered with PEPPERONI. Regardless, all three pizzas tasted like and had the consistency if the pizza was undercooked. I had this happen to me at least twice. Tried calmly discussing and complaining, but got no compensation, coupons, or even a simple apology - just a yelling on the phone. I am not asking for much, just good, well cooked pizza that I could get from other places. I never had problems like this from Lou's, Brian's, Gino's or Little Caesars, on and their bad day.

I really like Goode & Fresh. My family eats here often. We like the pan pizzas the best and I love the salads too! I also like all the other offerings too like the vegetables and fries. I’ll sometimes throw those in as the sides. The cheesy bread is also superior! It’s so soft, cheesy and indulgent. Staff are friendly. We mostly carry out but I have done delivery 3 times now and that’s also reliable and timely.

We got pizza from here for our in laws too, and they loved it as well. So much so that every time they visit, we get Goode & Fresh pizza. My in laws are a little frugal too so the fact that they are willing to buy the pizza from here is a huge praise. My only small ding is I do feel the prices are a little high. I understand why, but just personally it keeps us from eating here more often compared to other more affordable pizza places because it’s definitely a splurge pizza place. But we try and want to support local where we can. Anyway. I love Goode & Fresh Pizza Bakery....
