Iāll start this review by praising the food . My favorites are the baked specialpancakes like the Dutch garden and apple cinnamon . These take awhile but are large and thick especially the Apple Cinnamon. I donāt visit regularly but do take my visiting relatives for these special pancakes. Iāll visit by myself when Iām in he mood . It had been about six months when I felt the urge for the apple cinnamon today. Normally service is more than adequate but to say today was disappointing is a massive understatement. This being a Sunday I knew that it would be busy which is why I decided to go at a time past the normal brunch time. I got there @ 1:45 which I thought would be less busy since it closes at 2:30. It seemed to be busy but also winding since there was no wait to get a table. I ordered my apple cinnamon pancake and sipped my coffee since I expected a little wait. I finished my first cup and was expecting for the waitress to appear with my food or coffee. She passed out once but didnāt stop. I waited and wondered why it appeared to take longer than prior times Iāve when it was even busier. Finally as waiters passed by I stop her and ask for more coffee. Iām still waiting and by 2;15 still havenāt received my food. I was starting to wonder why itās taking so long since restaurant is already almost empty. To my surprise my waitress appears and starts to put the check on the table. Wow. Itās almost like a sitcom moment. I tell her I haven received my food and then itās like she remembers cause she say ooh the apple pancake. She goes to kitchen and surpringly she gets it in about 5 minutes. By this time itās about 2::20 and the busboys are mopping and cleaning around me. I take a few bites but frankly since Iām a slow eater and donāt want to person who stays after closing I ask for a Togo so I can eat my pancakes in a relaxed manner. I go pay my bill and would havenāt my experience to the cashier. Usually in orior visits they go thru usual question of how was your meal, which is when I would have spoken up but all the cashier/ manager asked do you want your receipt. At this point I just wanted to get home and eat my meal so I said nothing. Iām not sure if I want to go back to this location. Iām not sure but itās seems that ownership may have changed since my last visit since the cashiers managers appeared different than my prior visit. I still love the food but am pondering if I should go to the location in Schaumburg for...

I am a big fan of Walker Bros, for their Breakfast!
However: I will never again eat at this place!
This place is misleading towards its perfection!
Long Story:
I decided to eat here at this place one day, come to find that business was slow and that the outside was being constructed. Some of the workers who worked at Walker Bros were coming in from the building.
I paid no attention. I ordered my continental breakfast the usual pancakes, hash browns with eggs and milk. I waited to be served for a while. When my food came out and I was eating I noticed the cooks or the waiters were laughing, I didnāt know why. I assumed that they were having a conversation amongst themselves. After I ate all my food, I left and suddenly started to feel sick and dizzy. I headed home immediately. I walked in the door and was burning up!! I mean I felt like a fire-breathing dragon. I lay in bed so sick and constantly going to the bathroom feeling like I was going to throw up and my stomach was so sick my head was going to explode! I called my mom and told her I had a high fever! My mom was working. She came home quick and called the nurse on the phone, she said that I need to go in to see the doctor right away. We went and I was in the examination room, my pulse was high so high that they had to bring the doctor in. And I was still burning with fever and so ill. The doctor came in and said that I had a contagious stomach flu from contaminated food!!!! I knew right away where I had got it!! Walker Bros where I ate!!! The incident that I got sick is on my health file and if I still had the receipt from that day!!! I would sue this restaurant!! I mean they would go down for what that had down to me!!
Iām letting people know my story, because sooner or later itās going to happen to others who eat here. Iām not lying and my story is honest and truthful. I got sick from this restaurant and those that said they have had a similar issue or same problem your not alone your absolutely right that this place is disgusting and disturbing!!! Who knows what filth is underneath this restaurant!! It needs to be investigated and Iām going to call and report, because I donāt want anyone else to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have gone pass this place so many times and always wanted to try this so, when I finally got a chance today, I was really looking forward to it. I know I chose Sunday, one of the busiest day for breakfast, to come here but boy, what a disappointment this place turned out to be. From entrance, no acknowledgement or welcome from ladies behind counter. Finally, after several minutes, one of them decides to take me to a corner booth. Nothing said beyond escorting me to booth. Another person comes by and asks if I am by myself, once confirmed, he picks up extra utensils and walks away - no offer of coffee or any other drink. Finally after few more minutes, waiter comes by and asks if I am ready? I asked for coffee and said it was my first time to get recommendations...only to get everything is great here! I end up ordering their name sake combos. For high priced place, quantity is much less than other places. Plus the entire dish was sweet which ruined the experience. When asked at end, waiter said "oh yeah, our meat is caramelized with maple syrup!" Would have been nice to know ahead of time. No one came and asked about coffee refill, had to stop someone with pot to get refill. Just not the experience I was expecting...
