Bird food can be purchased anywhere - I can go to a lot of places to purchase bird food. However, the service factor makes the Glenview Wild Birds Unlimited store special Tim, Sharon and the other staff i have dealt with have added a lot to this hobby with their knowledge and advice. When you walk into that store you're going to spend a few minutes with friends who know their work and can help you enjoy your effort with the birds in your yard. I have no idea if I pay a few dollars more or not, I will continue supporting the Glenview Wild Birds...

If you want to learn about birds, this is the place to go. Tim is the manager of the shop, and if you need to know what's going on with the birds in your yard, or any of the wildlife, Tim's your guy. He will even come out to your house and do a "birdscaping" for your yard. Oh yes, you can also get all the seed, feeders, birdbaths, suet, etc. that you need. You might pay a little more for it than you would at the Bigbox store, but there's nobody at that Bigbox store that will help you...

Went right before Christmas and staff could not have been nicer. They went above and beyond to describe the feeder I was looking at and did not pressure a sale.
