Not a great first experience here today. Iâm from out of town and saw the great reviews so I decided to give it a try.
The store had a very weird, stale smell to it and not very pleasant upon going in.
I asked for their most popular flavor and surprisingly she said it was their Black Raspberry Chip. The texture was icy and I didnât get much flavor from it.
There were 4 young girls working the counter. The first girl that scooped my ice cream was very nice however the other girls continued to look at me and whisper in each otherâs ears and laugh, proceeding to take a couple steps away from me so I couldnât hear them but saw them doing the same thing. I shouldnât have to take weird looks and petty high school behavior like that being the only person in line and having that going on made me feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Not professional attitudes or manners at all and I will not be telling people back home that it was a pleasant experience.
I hope the managers can have a talk with these girls to provide better customer service to those that are spending their money there and wanting to experience such a popular ice...
Read moreWe've been going to Graeter's Ice Cream in Northbrook for a couple years now and have had nothing but good experiences with their product and customer service, until yesterday.
Upon arriving at the front door, the sign says that indoor dining is "temporarily closed". There is no mandate at this time to prohibit indoor dining, so this is strictly a corporate or local owner/manager's decision. My daughter started crying because she really had to go, but the answer was still no.
I understand all this pandemic stuff and people want to be safe, but legally, if you open your doors to customers, a bathroom has to be provided. Most rules have exceptions and you just really need common sense and compassion to make that call. I will never go back to this location, and that's unfortunate because we really do like the...
Read moreIâve been coming to this establishment for a long time, often with my dogâwhoâs always well-behaved and, today, was quietly sitting in her stroller. It was Motherâs Day (5/11/25) around 4 PM, and despite all the noisy kids running around, my dog wasnât disturbing anyone.
While waiting in line for about five minutes, a female employee with light brown hair abruptly asked if my dog was a service animal. I calmly explained that sheâs an ESA. Her response? In a rude and raised tone: âYOU GOT TO LEAVE, WE CANâT SERVE YOU.â
I was shocked. Iâve never been treated like this here before. The manager has always been kind and welcoming. I get it, but this employeeâs attitude was so hostile and unnecessaryâit honestly felt scary.
This area is known for being pet-friendly. There were dogs everywhere enjoying the day with their families.
We wonât be coming back. Very disappointing and deeply upsetting. Great ice cream but was too turned off by the employees attitude.
