Met the owner at a party and decided to give it a try. Website is very out of date and we were unable to order online.. So I drove over with my moms order from the online menu. When I arrived there were 3 booths full and a gentleman outside on the patio. Not too busy but being run by a VERY nice lady, when I tried to place my order in was told that item was not available as it was the lunch menu and after 3pm the restaurant changed to strictly Mexican food only, my mom doesn't care for Mexican and was disappointed she could not get the sandwich she wanted. But I ordered her a quesadilla and I ordered tacos. The poor waitress was working all alone and the computer system was not working, so under a lot of stress She kept her cool and was very sweet and helpful. Got the food home, was a little disappointed that there was no hot sauce or salsa but will no better for next time The food was very good and I will go early to get my mom what she really wanted in the 1st place . Warning...online is incorrect and misrepresents availablity .. you must go to see what food they actually have. I got the last tamale which was yummy but needed hot sauce .. will try again maybe for breakfast at least before 3pm to get the sandwich my mom...

Loved the omelet and pancakes (at first)! Second and third time around the taste was completely different. It's hit or miss here. The young gentleman was very attentive to us and staff is allergy friendly. Unfortunately, i had to drop my rating on this place as the owner recently argued with my mom when she was choking on a spicy taco (she can't tolerate spice) and all the lady firmly said is "it's not hot!" when in fact it had my mom in tears. The owner then passive aggressively took her plate of tacos she couldn't eat and threw it to the side, walked away from us, and didn't try to accommodate her with another dish. My mom was ignored the rest of the time. She sat there hungry and watched me eat my food. That's not right. The behavior was uncalled for and unprofessional. This used to be my go-to place. It's changed. Won't be returning here.

Also, I was charged $3 for ham toppings in my omelet.. I only received 3 mini cube pieces of that ham. The charge on my bill is unreasonable for the amount that i received.

Con: One of the cooks now refuses customers' order requests to make any breakfast items after 230pm. It's very unusual to turn away business/ customers. FYI the all-day breakfast chef is supposedly only...

I have lived in Glenview for many, many years and always heard great things about Greenwood Grill. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the experience that I have encountered with Greenwood Grill this Sunday, May 14th, 2023 on Mother's Day. My family and I have ordered three items: avocado toast, veggie omelet and turkey club sandwich for a take-out. I picked up the items and when I arrived at home, it was noticed that each item was missing ingredients, i.e. avocado, medium cooked eggs, toast, etc. I went back to the Greenwood Grill and asked to talk to the manager to let them know what happened, but they didn't take any accountability for their actions nor apologized for any inconvenience caused. The manager was very unprofessional and didn't care at all. It felt like they were doing me a favor when I paid for the food and had to drive twice to their location on Mother's Day for their mistake. Ultimately, I ended up asking for a refund for entire meal and ended up going elsewhere for Mother's Day food. Extremely disappointed with the service and especially with the managerial staff. I don't know what happened but this place used to be fantastic. I will not be going to this...

The place was nice and cozy. After seeing all the reviews I thought it would be a great place to grab breakfast but it turned out to be the opposite. We ordered two steak skillets and a breakfast burrito and the only thing that came out right was the burrito. We were shocked to see that our food was warmed up in the microwave and nowhere near the quality of $20 a plate. The eggs were over cooked and the hash brown were just mash potatoes the meat was the same as the taco meat we had for lunch in high school and seemed like it was old. When we asked for new eggs they warmed up the same plate of food again in the microwave with an absurd amount of extra cheese to make it seem like it was new. The new eggs we received were on the edge of raw and cooked and were dripping on the food. To not cause any other issues we just ate what we could but couldn’t finish the meal. Maybe this place is great for dinner but for breakfast I wouldn’t recommend. Where’s Gordon Ramsay when you need him😭

I like this place, a lot. We had very friendly service from Miriam. She made us feel like we were eating at a friend's house. It's a laid back updated diner with the usual favorite comfort foods in the earlier part of the day. Followed by, good home made mexican food in the afternoons. I had the Birria beef tacos dinner (with beef consommé, rice & beans) & a cup of the Green Chicken Pozole. Very good & very comforting on a rainy day, for sure. Horchata was the best I've had in a long time. Definitely going to come back for the Monday Happy Hour for $5 margaritas & the churros. They also have coconut flan & mocha tres lechas available on some days. *Prices were very fair, especially for these days. Good food, comfortable atmosphere, no rushing, great service.
