One of my favorite spots in Northfield, for sure! The daily deals are terrific, the food is certainly filling, and itās definitely a Northfield staple :)
Thereās not much seating, just a little stand up bar inside, but thatās not what weāre here for. We are here for something much better than Taco Bell, and a little less quality than a sitdown Mexican restaurantā itās perfect. š
Remember that they have outdoor seating three seasons of the year. There are picnic tables outside, as well as a little ball park behind where you can even just sit in the grass and eat⦠Maybe bring a blanket for a picnic.
The only reason I donāt give five stars is because they donāt accept anything but cash. Itās pretty annoying and to me as a customer. It comes across like: āwe would rather keep a few pennies per transaction, rather than give you the convenience of shop however you would like.ā Listen, I Have Used Square, PayPal, and couple other credit card receiving companies. They charge three cents per dollar⦠You canāt tell me they would go out of business giving that sort of convenience. They could raise their price $.50 on their most popular item, and cover the cost for an entire year of card transactions. I digress...
Do eat here, just bring some cash. I never carry it either, so I rarely do eat here. Itās only when I am at the grocery store and I remember to cash out as debit, and ask them for $10 cash out of the drawer, so I donāt have to pay an ATM fee. (see how annoying that is, Tacoasis)?

Updated April 24, 2022.
The woman who owned this restaurant decided to retire and sold the restaurant. I met the new owner and employees. They are very friendly. They kept the identical menu. They also get the food from the same vendors. The food tastes identical to the past and the employees prepare and make the items exactly the same as the past. I live 45 miles away from the restaurant so I will drive 90 miles to eat there every so often. Now this restaurant is an old Taco John's. Therefore there is room in the front window for 3 or 4 people to stand and eat in the restaurant. There are 2 picnic tables in front of the restaurant for nice weather eating not winter time. Also you can eat in your car or go through the drive thru and take it home. I am impressed by the new crew. I am glad that the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHusband and I were on the way home and decided to come here to grab some tacos. Went through the drive-thru and ordered 4 soft shells and 2 hard tacos. Guy said, "we are out of ground beef," so we had to select pork or chicken. We chose pork, but when driving up to the window, it was a lot more expensive, so my husband asked. The guy said the pork is more expensive, a dollar more per taco. It wasn't our fault they ran out of beef. Why should we pay the higher amount when we would have never chosen pork to begin with? He also said we were the last customers. Most places would have substituted and not charge the...
