We came here because of the good reviews, but we were terribly disappointed.
We placed a to go order at 614pm, the food was supposed to be ready at 630-635pm. Our food was finally done at 6:58pm. It should not take nearly 45 minutes to make five hamburgers (4 were plain!). I can cook better hamburgers at home in half the time.
The burgers were mediocre. The tots and fries were cold and gross/soggy. The ice cream in a cup was melted and they did not give us spoons. We got zero condiments, even though we paid extra. We ordered burgers without cheese and I reminded them of this, and asked them to verify when we finally got the food. The order was still wrong. They were out of lemonade. We don't drink soda. So we paid for multiple drinks we didn't get.
During my wait, I observed numerous food safety concerns with staff repeatedly leaving the kitchen with gloves on, grabbing all kinds of things. There were multiple staff in the lobby while I was waiting 45 minutes for my food. Not sure what they were doing.. also nearly all the tables in the place were open. I mentioned the wait when our food was finally ready and they just stated they were busy with online orders... I did not observe this... they had a few small to go orders. They didn't even try to give me a free item or even offer a decent apology.
Very disappointed. Not sure why there are so many...
Read moreMe & Hubby were out looking for a restaurant that served homemade burgers we were on Google saw a couple of restaurants we decided on KC Burger Joint. We arrived Hubby let the staff know this was our first time visiting. The staff was very friendly & thorough. The owner told me that the onion rings & fried mushrooms were good & if I didn't like the onion rings he would prepare me some himself. I WANT TO SEND A SHOUT TO THE OWNER & THANK HIM. HE STANDS BEHINDS HIS FOOD, HE ALSO GAVE ME & MY HUSBAND SOME FISH ON THE HOUSE WHICH WAS DELICIOUS. We ordered the double meat bacon burger I ordered onion rings for my side & the onion rings were so good & they were handbreaded. My Husband ordered chili cheese fries the chili was homemade. I had pineapple shake for my drink it did not disappoint real pineapple chunks OMG everything was good. Ericka out waitress was fabulous brought our food to the table, took our order, explained what came on the hamburger very professional. The cook Tim personally came to our table & asked was everything good we answered yes & everything was good no complaints at all EVERYTHING we ordered was straight. The hamburger patties were big & juicy. The portions are very generous I could only eat half of my burger. I RECOMMEND KC BURGER JOINT It's only 5 stars I give them...
Read moreWent to KC Burger Joint Saturday night with my son and wanted to give our impressions.
Bottom Line: There are better burgers around for the same price. Below average to average.
Details: I have it on good authority that this location is just a rebranded LC's location. The menu is the same and my credit card charge was "LC's HAMBURGERS ETC" So I guess if you like LC's you would like this place. Anyways, my son ordered the 9.99 special, single burger and fries and I ordered a bacon cheese burger and a side of mushrooms. The burgers were fine but very average and the fries were luke warm and tasted a bit old. The star of the show was definitely the mushrooms, which my son kept stealing. I also ordered a burger and onion rings for my wife to go. The total for the special, two singles bacon burgers, mushrooms and rings was over $40. My wife ate all of the rings and took two bites of the burger before wrapping it up and sticking it in the fridge. So again, there are way better burgers in the northland for the same $. I suggest Freddy's, DBS or even burger king for me above this place for fast food type places. Again, it may be your jam, but not...
