You see like 5 of these places when you drive through Tuscaloosa and hear radio commercials with people attesting to how much they love the place but I disagree. It was late and a lot of places were closing but we like to go local before big chain so I went against my initial judgment of the place. This is some of the worst food I've had since I can remember. It's just the cheapest stuff they can get from sysco that passes for concession stand food. Processed nacho cheese, canned refried beans, and undercooked hard rice were a testament to that. A combo is around $6.50 and a drink isn't even included. I would estimate their was about $1.50 worth of food on that plate. Not to say it was small but just low quality. Ate some of it because we were hungry but ended up going to McDonald's afterwards to just eat something with flavor (I almost never go to McDonald's). Taco bell would of been the superior alternative. If locals really eat there, then whoever owns it must be making money...

First off every taco in the bag was absolutely swimming in grease. I expect it a little at taco casa I think that’s what makes it good but this was absolutely insane.
Secondly my wife asked for unsweet tea. Got to the pickup window and asked “this is UNSWEET tea correct?” And was assured yes unsweet. WRONG. Very much sweet tea. Missing a chicken burrito that we ordered. (Not mad about that it happens but wanted to note it in this review). After seeing the grease tacos and missing one I was just like “whatever” but then after drinking a very sweet tea I called. Asked “is there a manager available?” The response I got was “yeah” lol if I answered that way at my job I would be fired. Cmon taco casa. Let’s hire some better employees. This place has wayyyy too much of a reputation for...
Read moreI don't usually go to places where I know that I can make the same thing at home, only better. It was my date's choice. We stood in line for a few minutes and then placed our order. We got 8 soft tacos with mild sauce. I didn't know that they put your sauce selection on your tacos for you. The tortillas were really thin and pliable. They were good for small bites and small appetites. They cost $1.87 each and the drink cost $2.57. Ironic, isn't it? That's why I always carry my own bottle of water with me. This place is fine for those of you who don't have a care about what you eat and don't mind spending the money when $10 a person can get you a better deal...
