Chongwah Express — Restaurant in Northport

In they heyday of McFarland mall, this was my family's main reason to shop. Sure the little arcade was fun, going to the movies then plodding over to Shoe Station, or Goody's, but Chongwah was always delicious. When the mall started closing down I was nothing but heartbroken to hear of my favorite Chinese food to go along with it. I was more than excited when they set up their own brick and mortar restaurant. Obviously prices have gone up since the good ol' days at the mall, but the food hasn't changed. It is exactly what you expect from the cheaper end of buffet style mall food, but every entree is tasty, and you always get more food than you can eat. I mean they pile it on. If anything, I love this place for the nostalgia of eating it in the food court of a dying mall (of course right next to the gelato stand for easy access), but I always recommend it if folks want good Chinese food that doesn't leave a hole in...

If you don’t have what I desire, then just tell me to choose another option. Don’t give me food that has seen it’s share of tossing, watering, flavoring, and anything else you may do before you realize it can’t turn a prophet on the day in question. I come here alot, I came Tuesday and ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken dinners. I made sure that I asked was it fresh, they said yes. I got home and the chicken was like rubber. I call and they said just come back bye when you are in town again. I did and the lady at the window wanted to fuss. And still say that their food is always fresh.
