Added images of her response...Look, she is still arguing with me. She is still lying. Still blaming me. I ordered crab ragoons. Repeated myself several times. When I arrived I pointed out the order was wrong she went off on me blaming me. And is STILL blaming me on this review response. She could have said "Sorry we messed up. Let us fix it." Her response proves my point vividly.
Original uneditted review: Nearly all of my reviews are extremely positive but today I have to leave one to warn people about this place. The food here is usually pretty good, but often wrong. Very inconsistent even when they get the order right... The Thai lady who runs is is awful. I came to pickup a simple carry out order for 2. When I walked in I noticed how filthy the place had gotten from the year prior and that is smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned in as long. My order was on a little table with the receipt next to it, with my name on it. While I waited for her to come to the front so I could pay I looked at the order. It was wrong. When she came to the front I told her it was wrong. She then spent 5 minutes arguing with me blaming me, and then yelling back at whoever in Taiwanese. I told her several times that I repeated the order with her on the phone, a total of 3 times because the last time the order was wrong. She then implied that I was lying and it is my fault the order was wrong. Even though my wife was sitting next to me in the car on hands-free speaker when I ordered. Finally she said she would need 5 minutes to fix the order. I said okay and went to sit down. She went back complaining in Taiwanese again and came back out a minute later picking another fight saying it was my fault.
I got up and left stating I would not be coming back. Who messes up and order that was repeated and confirmed 3 times, then blames the customer for a total of 10 minutes, even after the customer agreed to allow them to fix their mistake? Note, this wasn't the first time. But it will certainly be the last. We only ordered from there a few times over a couple of years because they were close by. I am surprised they remain open if your order is consistently wrong, inconsistently made when the order is "right" and if anything is off they will literally yell at you and blame you for their mistake.
The ironic thing is Google showed they were "unusually slow" on Google maps and I was definitely the only order they had with zero customers coming or going and no phones ringing...
Read moreI'm a regular at Mr Thai restaurant, typically ordered there twice a week for both lunch and dinner. I've always enjoyed my experiences there, so much so that I've recommend it to many of my clients. However, a recent incident has left me extremely disappointed and reconsidering my patronage. The restaurant owner displayed an unexpected level of rudeness, raising her voice in an unwed manner, which was deeply disheartening.
The issue arose from an incorrect order, which differed from my usual choices. Upon calling to report the mistake, I was met with resistance instead of assistance. Even when the owner's son got involved, there was no resolution offered. The encounter was marked by an extreme lack of courtesy and rudeness, which I found so offensive!!! I asked the owner to please stop yelling and she continued to yell!!!
Given this unfortunate experience, I'd strongly advise considering alternative Thai restaurants for your dining needs. This recent incident has drastically changed my perception of Mr Thai restaurant. The owners are extremely rude and unprofessional. I would go to Bangkok Cuisine the service is amazing! Read moreI tried ordering online, but the online format was tricky and it wanted me to download some thing on my phone that I did not want to download so I decided to call and place my order instead. I accidentally ordered the wrong thing so well on the phone I corrected myself and apologized for any confusion since the woman didn’t speak great English and then tried to order the correct item. The lady tried to interrupt me multiple times during ordering and once I corrected my order she told me I should not call but to order online only. I told her I could try and order online but that I would have to download some thing on my phone and I didn’t wanna do that so I decided to call instead. She was very rude to me so I ended up ending the call. She then called me back and answer the phone rudely and said “really?” In a condescending tone to me and then made sure to cancel my order.
