The owners are the best! My daughter is very picky and the one morning we came in closer to their closing time. They didn't have any made that she liked. So he took it upon himself to make her a donut with frosting and even added edible glitter to make her feel special. We now go every week! While driving home from DTW, I Googled "Donut Shops". Due to the awesomeness of Google, Don's was listed as the shortest deviation from my route. The parking lot was pert near full at 7am - a good sign in my opinion. A group of older gents filled the cafeteria looking dining area. My step father introduced me to this place about 40 years ago and whenever I'm on the east side I'll find a reason to stop and get a dozen. Since I'm now a special education teacher, I treat my students to the best donuts in Toledo. They're always fresh, the fillings are generous, and there's always a good selection unless you try to go in the afternoon when they're all bought up.
