18OCT24 Keep driving.... Customer service has never been... Today we learned apparently crackers are rationed. It's simply amazing owners do not care because they're making their millions off the public. My recommendation is to drive to the next Wendy's which is 5 miles away!! Never received a response before... Don't expect one now.
Wendy's no longer makes chili after 9pm apparently it wastes too much money. Hint- quality control... It's winter, cold and raining, people are going to want chili until you close. Perhaps adding a note 'no chili after pm' to your commercials will save others this same frustration. As I stood inside for 10 minutes at the counter with no acknowledgement, line forming like the vehicles around the building. I realize why they're too busy. They have an angry customer and the Norton Police (who do not make enough money) trying to deal with too many but egos. The longer I listen and witness this display I see the temptation and point of view of the upset customer. Let me say again, I'm the only person at the counter inside with the line forming. The employees talking to each other have announced several times by now that they close in less than an hour. Finally the young lady walks up to the counter and says may I help whoever is next? Really? OMG? I thought only I could only see my imaginary friend? Because why else would anyone say that when I'm clearly the next person in line? I'm the person you are looking at and I'm standing infront of you (scripting at its best I guess). I say may I have a large chili .... Uh oh big pause this is not good. She walked away slightly to ask if they had chili and voices from the back bellow out they're out of chili. I ask when it would be ready? As I said it's been announced several times they close in less than an hour. I then ask does that mean you aren't making chili because you are closing? She says I don't know when the chili will be ready. Apparently there was no script other than I don't know when it will be ready. I made the assumption with my problem solving skills I'm S.O.L!!! This is not my first rodeo with Wendy's so I get in my car and I call the Manchester Road store .... When they answer I ask do you have chili? Wait for it... big pause again, We're running low I'll check. I'm sure you will not be surprised to know once again the Manchester Road stores does not have chili either! I'm unsure what your job is but mine does not allow me to stop doing it an hours before my quitting time. Perhaps an ancestor of Dave's might want to try 'undercover boss' it would be most interesting. Read moreNormally, if I'm in the area I'll stop here for lunch sometimes. But today will be the last time at this location. I stood in line for about 15 minutes waiting patiently for this young cashier to finish talking with a bunch of people in front of me, that she seemed to know. After she finished up her conversation with almost every member of the large group, she looks right at me and says "I'll be right with you..." She buzzes around get things ready for the large group... And yes they got free extras. She told me at least 3 more times "I'll be right with you..." At this point, I've spent at least 25 minutes in line, just to place my order. Out of nowhere, another young girl with all kinds of achievement pins on her hat comes up and asks to take my order. I ordered in less than a minute. She asked if it was to go? I replied "Yes." So, she hands me my cup and I go get some tea, knowing that my order was made with confidence and satisfactory service. I come back to the counter, and find my food sloppily tossed on a tray and being pushed towards me by the first girl who kept brushing me off. She was looking at me, as if I insulted her and had a very pissed off look on her face. Now, mind that I just witnessed her being super friendly, happy and smiling to the people that were in front of me... So, I reminded the young girl that my order was to go... You know what this girl did? She grabbed a bag from under the counter and threw it at me, and said "There you go!"
I'm standing there looking around to see if anyone else just saw what this girl did, and there was a guy behind me that aknowledged it. The girl walk off cutting her eyes at me, as if hoping to avoid the confrontation that was about to happen. I let it go, because I was on lunch break and already running out of time, because of this girl taking her time. This was a true trash experience, and I will not be back to this location. I know management and the corporation doesn't care, but the service I got this time was...
Read moreVery unprofessional establishment. I've been coming to this location for the past 10 yrs because it's the closest to our house. I can honestly say that the service has significantly declined. Saturday, my husband was asked to pull up, to wait for fresh food. After waiting 15 mins after paying for the food, he backed up to the window, only to be told that they forgot about his order and never made it. Lastnight, I stopped here after my kids school concert. It was 20 mins before closing. There was one car in front of me. Once it was my turn, the young lady said she'll be right with me. After 10 mins of no one ever answering, I figured they were going to have me sitting there until they closed. I drove around to the window and could see them in there cleaning up. I went across the street to grab some food from another restaurant. I called Wendy's and asked why they just left me sitting there when they weren't closed? The young lady said she didn't know what I was talking about. I told her no one ever came back to take my order. After ending the call, the staff called me back and played on my phone 10 or more times from several different numbers. Absolutely unacceptable!! They can answer the phone and make prank calls but couldn't do their job. I would have rather them just say they were closed for the evening. It took everything in me to hold my composure and not go beat on the drive thru window. I could literally see them while I was across the street in a different drive thru receiving excellent service.
