I know this place has only been open for 6 days, but reading the four reviews already on here I was left wondering is this the same place. We were told they were “working out the kinks” for that we got a 10% discount on our food as well as the other only party in the restaurant as well. My wife and I ordered hibachi, I the shrimp, her the shrimp and chicken. We both ordered steamed rice which when my plate came out it had fried rice. Thus the 10% off. We got our drinks mine the usual water and my wife the sweet tea which she had to send back because it honestly was so chlorinated it was un drinkable. The salads came which is the usual small bowl of iceberg and some shredded carrots and purple cabbage which was so wet it watered down the dressing. The soup came and it was just OK. Spicer than other Japanese restaurants I couldn’t eat it all. The actual hibachi was good not great. As far as the atmosphere there is none. I flirted with the idea of ordering sushi and I told my wife after a survey of the establishment I would decide , needless to say I never entertained it as soon as we walked in. It is as if they were rushing to open and quick. My honest opinion if I were opening a restaurant I know there are going to be “kinks” but I would make 100% sure the food and atmosphere of my place were spot on. Maybe in a few months they may have things figured out but as I usually do in these cases I will not know cause that was a...
Read morePeople should really visit this place even if they don't like sushi, it's a great restaurant! First off, the music was great the whole time. Second, They have the best sushi in Wise county, me and my brother both thought so. The Onion Soup and Takoyaki were also both great and the fried rice was ASTOUNDING. I'm not sure what they do to that rice but it is delicious, especially the veggies and fried eggs in it! The restaurant looks very nice and clean, there's a lot of seating and the bathroom was clean too. The only criticism I would have is that the service was a tad bit slow and I don't mean to be rude but there was definitely a language barrier that made things a little bit difficult with ordering and everything else. But besides those very small things they were all very attentive and kind. I would recommend Yummy...
Read moreI had high hopes for this Japanese restaurant, and while the service was genuinely great—our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience—the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The Crunchy Shrimp Roll was average, maybe a 5/10, and the Spicy Snow Crab roll was slightly better at a 6.5/10. Unfortunately, the Hibachi Steak was overcooked and dry despite ordering it medium rare, and the mixed vegetables were steamed rather than grilled, which was unexpected for a Japanese spot. The Fishing Poke Bowl was a big miss—the salmon was the only redeeming part, while the other fish didn’t taste very fresh. It’s a shame because the staff clearly care, but the food just didn’t live up to...
