California Roll & Teriyaki — Restaurant in Norwalk

I had a TERRIBLE experience with this establishment! How many of us know how that when you order a teriyaki chicken bowl, it needs to have a suffient amount of teriyaki sauce or it just tastes dry. When I phoned my order in, I asked for extra sauce. The man answering the phone said SURE. When I went to pick up my order, again I asked if he included extra sauce. The man answered YES. They have a sign that says its 30 cents for extra sauce. My bad for paying but not getting a receipt. When we sat down to eat, only one sauce was included per bowl which is not nearly enough. I called to complain. The man said they no longer give one sauce per bowl. He said the chicken is lightly tossed with teriyaki sauce and that's all you get. I asked if he charged me for the extra sauce, he said no but I didn't have a receipt to verify that. This man who is probably the owner is watching every penny because he gave us exactly one napkin each. I WILL NEVER FREQUENT THIS PLACE AGAIN EVER and I encourage others to never go there either. I tried their combination beef and chicken teriyaki plate. Came with rice, macaroni salad and a simple lettuce salad. Their teriyaki was excellent. Could use more teriyaki sauce but the chicken and beef was well cooked and full of flavor. The macaroni salad was good but they put corn in it, which threw me off. I didn't like the corn in the macaroni. Salad was basic. I also tried the norwalk sushi roll. It was huge. I thought it was going to be a standard small roll but it's like the size of 2 rolls in one.

The sushi roll was good enough. Nothing special (just crab meat, shrimp tempura) but hit the spot. Plates and sushi rolls are anywhere from 13-15 dollars. I understand the price because they give you some generous portions. I was full and just half way done with the plate for lunch. Enough food to heat up seconds for dinner later.

Their beef and chicken teriyaki is definitely their best food. I recommend it. I will definitely be coming back and will ask if they have a no corn mac salad and for some extra teriyaki sauce on the...

The place is very clean and they offer you hand sanitizer plus they have a machine that check your temperature, self check. There is only take out orders for now. Let me tell you that the food is great. I liked the flavor and the taste of the food is delicious. 1st time buying here and I already love it. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki uuuf delicious plus it comes with a small salad and macaroni. I loved the amount of food they serve its great . I was unable to finish the whole plate. I save some for later. They have different plates.
