I bought a custom 2 tier birthday cake here. It came out really beautiful. The top layer v was all chocolate and the bottom was white cake with strawberries. Guests at the party were pleased with the chocolate cake. I had a lot left from the strawberry cake. I took a bite of mine and it tasted dry. I grew up an strawberry cake so I do like the flavor. I used Joyce's because it was close to the party. I do appreciate their work. I was just disappointed with the second cake. I was so busy that I forgot bring a cake knife because my local baker always includes one. *Also if you pick up your cake bring a container or box to place it in. They were giving me the cake to hold and I wasn't able to hold it in my lap. It was heavy to me. I was afraid I was either going to drop it or ruin it by pushing it into the dash somehow. Although the design was pretty, John left off an item that was supposed to be on top of the cake. In addition, the cake was supposed to be a white cake with cream cheese filling, but it was inedible because it was a sponge cake that was completely dry. The cream cheese filling was tart, and his response was "this is how the cream cheese taste from my country." No one ate the cake and my money was wasted because John took no responsibility or tried to rectify the cake. His actual response was "I'm sorry, you should have asked for an American cake." I wasn't impressed at all. Went to try their goods and I'm sorry they tasted very old. I purchased 2 kinds of macaroons the blueberry and strawberry. Horrible, the shells weren't done correctly. They literally crumbled in my hand. Not soft and chewy at all. Then I bought 2 cannolis. They are super cheap with the filling for them to charge $2 each. They only fill the ends with the filling. So the whole middle is completely empty. Your just eating the shell. So I thought okay it's just that bad one, nope, it's the same for the second cannoli that I purchased. What a rip off! Them I bought 4 different cookies and those were tasteless and hard as a rock. They must be selling day or two old stuff. I will never return.
