Mariachi Bakery has quickly become my favorite stop whenever I’m in town. They offer an impressive variety of pan dulce that is always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of bakery where the pastries are so tempting that it’s nearly impossible to leave without taking at least a couple with you. Alongside the pastries, their coffee is excellent—smooth, flavorful, and far superior to the generic taste you’ll find at the big-name coffee chain located right across the street.
The hot food menu is also worth mentioning. Everything I’ve tried has been tasty and made with care, which makes it a great place not just for a morning coffee and pastry, but also for a casual breakfast or quick meal. The bakery itself is cozy and on the smaller side, but that never feels like a drawback since there is plenty of parking available outside, making it very convenient.
What makes Mariachi Bakery stand out is the combination of quality, authenticity, and comfort. It’s not a flashy place, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. You come here for great coffee, delicious baked goods, and an experience that feels more personal and welcoming than any chain café could ever offer.
This is absolutely my go-to spot in town for coffee and pan dulce, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place that serves real flavor and genuine...
Read moreI was so excited to come try their horchata frappuccino but it was such a let down. 🙈 it was way to sugary and didn't have the creamy taste like Tierra Mia horchata frappuccino. .❤. I was very disappointed. Had a watered down texture with alot of sugar taste..way to light on cinnamon and full of whipped cream...was not what I expected. I had never tried this place before but was very discouraged of coming back again. Other things looked good like their Mexican bread and cakes but 1 slice of cake is like $5.99 or more and they mostly only have tres leches..varieties without are limited. To EXPENSIVE. I was hoping for better from this location. Even the CUSTOMER SERVICE was very drab. Not to welcoming. Me and my husband came from far to try this place out..I walked in excited and waved to the young lady taking the ORDER . She was not as friendly..I told her we were coming from far and it was our first time there...just to try this place out...she just said what would you like...🥶..ALL AND ALL I ended up throwing away my drink...😫..TOTALLY PREFER TIERRA MIA..TRY IT. YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE. AND I WOULD SUGGEST THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE DRINKS AT MARIACHI BAKERY TRY THEM TOO SO THEY CAN UNDERSTAND THE TEXTURE AND CREAMINESS INSTEAD OF JUST...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying I hate tres leches cake. I lived in Mexico for 18 years and always felt the cake was too soggy. Reminded me of cereal at the bottom of a breakfast bowl. It is a country that does a lot of food so right but that cake was not one of them.
So it was with a lot of trepidation that I came to this particular bakery to try the tres leches. I felt like I had to give them a shot. I tried the Cookies and Cream Tres Leches.
It was amazing. It was delicate and not overpoweringly sweet. It was spongy and moist but not overloaded with condensed milk. I have since tried all six flavours (Red Velvet, Horchata, Original, Mocha, Cookies and Cream and Gansito) and will say the personal favourite is Horchata. The hint of cinnamon with the occasional walnut is a lovely counterbalance.
F-ing sublime.
Gansito is very decadent, and the chocolate on top is rich, while the strawberry jam inside is quite a nice one. It is not a commercial-tasting one, and it has a bit more of a home-style, fresh taste.
I have since sent many people to this bakery. The cleaning lady at my store fell in love with the bolillos, which I still need to try.
It is an excellent bakery with a small seating area inside and out, with...
