I'll start this review by saying that I'm a slight germaphobe, and because of that, I bring my own cup wherever I go. I don't drink from anyone's cup and I seldom use paper cups. I went down with my neighbor and friend to have some lunch over on MAY 23rd, 2015 at about 3:40PM. We order as normal, purchasing my own soda but refusing the cup since I had my own and did not wanted to have a cup being wasted.
As soon as I dispensed the soda, the manager shows up from the back on the kitchen, in front of all the customers (it was fairly full - there was a line) about the whereabouts of my Wendy's cup. After telling him that I purchased the soda, but I just didn't wanted the cup because of the reasons above. He rudely barked at me that "in order to use the dispenser, I HAD to use their devices provided.". Not wanting to escalate the situation or take him down of his high horse. I asked if he wanted me to dump the soda that I just served myself, but he said "No, but don't do that again.", so I decided to just grab the paper cup and resume my drink.
Figuring that it was perhaps a health-related issue from the state (I haven't eaten on any fast-food joint on Connecticut before) or something, I tried to justify the reason why the man yelled at me, and thought that maybe it's a health hazard or something (even though I can assure you that my cup is a thousand times cleaner than a paper cup that was stored in who-knows-where.). I also figured that it wouldn't matter if I poured a refill from the gross paper cup and into my own cup, as long as I "used their devices to dispense the soda", so I decided to do that anyways (my cup was never in the area of the soda dispensing machine). A few moments later, I catch the manager walking out from the kitchen (as if he was watching me from the camera) and straight to me, and told me that I "was abusing the privilege of the soda machine and that we needed to leave." Considering my elderly neighbor I was dining in, I decided against escalating the situation more than a reaction in shock and disbelief.
I cannot believe that this manager would be so disgustingly rude for over something absolutely trivial, using his time and abusing his managerial "powers" to harass customers, instead of better using his time to better manage the store and set it up in working order (the bathroom was disgusting, yuck! Also, the condiment and soda areas were very messy, full of paper trash, plastic ketchup cups and sticky from soda's syrup.). I've always thought that Wendy's was the lesser of the three evils (McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's) in the burger chains empire, but the poor process of promoting or hiring such a power-crazy brute who lacks even the most basic elements of common courtesy and customer service skills - made me realize that Wendy's is as equally trash of an establishment as the other two. Never again will I step into this Wendy's - and most probably ANY Wendy's by...

Although its changed over the years and over all if your strapped for cash and just need to fill your belly with no attachments this wendys in Norwalk Ct is onpoint most of the time.. its location is off exit 2 on the rt 7 connector and 38 off Merritt Park Way. My fav is the 5$ Biggie Bag you get to choose a chicken sandwich or cheeseburger and comes with fries and chicken nuggets and a drink. How can you beat that. The deal does change every do often. Also if you dont want fries they have the option of Baked potatoes ask for cheese and sourcream and bacon. They use to have Broccoli but unfortunately they took that away. Oh my and i havent even got to the best part of all. THEIR BREAKFAST! They just started surving a few years ago. The chicken and bacon on a morning croissant and their signature honey Butter drizzled all over it. I always ask for a side of honey butter to dig my "home fry style wedges" which comes with it along with a med cup of coffee. For less then 8$ or 9$ bucks. Oh and they have tasty French toast sticks all day and night long . So if you dont have time to stop in and grab a bite they have their drive through that is open until atleast 1 or 2 am. And opens by 6am, please dont quote me on the hours. Just check before you decide to head over for an early easy fast delicious breakfast or an anytime meal at any hour. The choice is yours! Be warned tho. And i cant stress this enough. CHECK YOUR BAG before YOU DRIVE Away or walk out those doors. They DO TEND TO MAKE SILLY SIMPLE MISTAKES when BUSY OR Late...

I can only imagine how difficult it is to hire good workers. But last night was a joke. Unless your cashier was a trainee, and your manager was a trainee too, there's little reason for them to have been as flustered as they were. The store was not that busy. Two women were there ahead of me with 6-7 girls, and the stress was palpable. Apparently the customer in front of the women, started placing his order then stepped away to retrieve his credit card. That little snafu shouldn't shut down the only register open and cripple productivity, but it did.
I remember thinking that the crew could benefit enormously by participating in some old (80's style) McDonalds Training Videos -- but I have no idea if those old 3/4" players & tapes still exist. Strange what one thinks about while suffering from a lackluster customer experience.
Anyway, credit where credit is due: The sandwich (Classic Double w/Cheese) was assembled 'messily' but was reasonably fresh, and the LG Frosty, even though It was the last Item I was served and I had to re-confirm the flavor while my food sat in a bag on the counter, was in the cup and properly capped. (McD policy was 'Drinks First' and there was/are many good reasons for that.)
I'm sure the night shift is eating labor on you. Perhaps you should consider a much smaller crew that actually thinks on their feet rather than a bigger group that can only stumble with low energy through an after dinner...
