I could not allow this experience to go without comment. My wife and I are frequent guests of the Ruby Tuesday, Pottsville Pa. Upon arrival we are always greeted by one or two, pleasant, nicely dressed young ladies. Last night, 12 May, Mother’s Day, our experience was anything but pleasant. I called and made reservations 11 May for 6:30 PM 12 May. My wife and I arrived at 6:15 and told the hostess, we were here for our 6:30 dinner reservation. We took a seat. Other parties arrived without reservations and were seated before us. Six thirty arrived. My wife reminded the hostess of our reservations. No comment from the hostess. Parties continued arriving, without reservations and were seated. My wife reminded the hostess we were waiting. Hostess continued to seat new arrivals. We were seated about three feet from her desk, totally ignored. Finally, at 6:50, we continued to be the only couple in the waiting area. About 6:45 the hostess appeared aggravated, grabbed some papers from her desk, knocked a spoon onto the floor, left it lay, (mt wife picked it up when the hostess left her station.) At 6:50 the hostess returned to her station after seating another newly arrived couple. As she walked past where we sat, she asked if we have been taken care of.
Seriously! She took us to a booth. The restaurant was only about half full. Just before she sat down, my wife, who almost never speaks up asked, “Is there really no point in making reservations?” The hostess replied in words to the effect, no apology, just, “Do you want me to get the manager?”
Mother’s Day is a special day in our family. My wife, Doctor Cooper , and I even dress for the night out. No excuse for the way we were mistreated. Upon departure, hostess usually says “Goodbye , or “Have a nice night” or some other pleasantry. Not last night. Not even one, :”Happy Mother’s Day.” Sorry Ruby Tuesday, no excuse for...
Read moreHow is this place still open!?? We stopped here while visiting family, we weren’t familiar with the area. Their was nothing else around so we decided to eat here. First, their was no soap in the bathroom. I told the waitress, she said she’d tell the manager, but nothing changed. It was bottle of soap with water in it. Thank God I had alcohol, disaffect wipes, and sanitizer in my purse. My food came out salty, my sisters burger was raw. The waitress stated that one cook seasoned my food and went on break, then the 2nd cook came in and seasoned my food. That made no sense because you didn’t see seasoning already? And even so why wasn’t my food sent out as soon as it was finished? Our waitress was nice, but the staff itself terrible. We spent about 2 hours + in the restaurant. It was empty so I didn’t understand. Every time we asked for something it took forever to come out, our receipt had to be changed a total of 3 times because we were still being charged for food we didn’t eat. We had to ask for the manager to come out when she should’ve come out from the beginning as we had so many problems occur. She was in the back in the kitchen with the rest of the staff for whatever reason. She came out and was very dismissive, no sorries, no comps for the dessert we got nothing. She responded with “I’ll go get the card reader” this restaurant needs to be closed down and or inspected. Employees were sitting around eating etc. Just super unprofessional and all over the place. A new staff needs to take the place of...
Read moreNormally I never write bad reviews. UNTIL NOW!
However this place was hideously bad. This was the first time I ever went to this Ruby Tuesday’s!
First off, when ordering online, one does not have the same selection of menu as one would have if they were physically in the restaurant! I was ordering the sliders box meal. The menu has a choice of side as Onion Rings, but when ordering online that is not a choice. I chose Potato salad, and dessert as White Macadamia Nut cookie.
I also placed orders for 6 other people.
We picked up all the orders, arrived home and 2 items were missing. Called them, talk to someone who put us on hold, then someone else picked up. Told Them what was missing. They asked if we want a store credit or are we coming to the store and pick up what was missing. Informed them I was coming back to the store. Once there waited another 10 mins for the missing items.
With this take out order for 7 people, no utensils, napkins or condiments were given.
I ordered the sliders, which were just very small tasteless patties on EXTREMELY HARD STALE ROLLS! No cheese, no ketchup, no onion ....nothing!!!!
Didn’t even get the Macadamia Nut cookie, got a chocolate chip.
The only good thing was the potato salad! That’s what makes this one star!
Nobody else particularly like the other 6 orders either.
Bad food, bad service! My first and last time ever going to this establishment! Complete...
