Disappointing experience, again. Soon after the new owners took over, I ordered a coney and fried mushrooms. Something about the coney didn't taste the same and my mushrooms were cold in the center. Plus, the prices were significantly increased. I chalked the price increases up to COVID and the subpar food prep up to inexperience.
Fast forward to today. Good memories of DQ fried mushrooms entered my mind as I drove by, so I decided to give them another try. My first bite was hot and delicious. My second bite revealed a frozen center. I couldn't believe it.
I drove back and entered the restaurant to get a replacement order. Neither the lady at the counter or the lady who took my order could address my case. A man came out to "handle" the situation. Instead of saying "I'm sorry for this, please allow us to replace or refund your order, and thanks for giving us another try.", he insisted on explaining to me how the fryer is on a timer and seemed more concerned with avoiding burning the outside of the mushroom than producing a quality product. He even claimed "sometimes these things happen". I told him I'm aware of how fast food works, I'd never had cold or frozen mushrooms in all the years I ordered during the previous ownership, and what are the chances that two orders a year apart would have the same issue? I found his responses arrogant, condescending, and lacking in responsibility.
Although I was given a refund, no one ever said "I'm sorry". Just excuses and feigned politeness. The perceived attitude is "take it or leave it". I'll leave it, thanks. P.S....
Read moreI have had 3 bad events at this DQ. They are the only one in the area. One was a year or so ago. I ordered 6 large milk shakes. Not cheap. They just handed them to me without anyone asking if I needed a carrier. So heading home 2 spilled out in the car. I got home called and asked for the manager. A young lady came to the phone. I told her what happened and she said nothing. In fact she got upset. She said I should have asked for a carrier or something and it was my fault. I called the corporate office and never heard from them. I don't like this place, but my family does. Then the past month I have been there, the first time was good, but took a little longer wait than needed as we where inside. The next time was the drive through, I ordered a meal for my son and got a small come. I got to the window they handed me the come and it was melting. Which ment the cone was made when I ordered it at speaker. 15 minutes late I get to the window. My meal was still not ready. Lastly I was there this week l got two burger meals with sodas and Blizzards asked for one they didn't make it, although it is advertised and all other DQ's had the blizzard. I fidnt get my sodas, so i had to park and go in to get them. I waited a Half hour in lthe drive through. So then I get home with the meals and the burgers had no lettuce, tomato , pickle or condoments, that was written on the menu board. BTW it is too high, unreadable and filthy. Read moreI currently work there and everyone I work with is getting paid very little. I’m 16 working 5 hours of 4 days, and it’s not easy taking customers that are upset. It is hard for me to juggle everything in my life and also deal with upset customers. I do work super hard to make everyone happy and feel welcome at our establishment and for those who are rude towards us and act childish make our day worse. For the teens that come through and act worse then a 3 year olds it’s harder to deal with, and although when we mess up we make it look like not a big deal. We do get in a lot of trouble it’s not easy for the managers to get us to understand what is needed. All of the managers try to make sure that we are treating everyone with respect, and I go to school for six hours and then walk home for at least 40 minutes and then have to work. I understand if we mess up your order you would be upset but we do try our best to make it right. Tho we messed up please understand we and high schoolers. Before you get upset understand it is just as frustrating for us, we try to get it done as fast as possible.
