I'm not even sure how this "pizza" restaurant has 4 stars. First red flag: There was 2 half pies sitting in the display case & it's 4 hours before closing time. Second red flag: Those 2 Half pies had no color to the crust & the toppings looked stale/not appealing. Last red flag: Quoted 10 mins for 3 pies to be ready!! 10 mins!! I'm like that can't be real. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, medium cheese pizza, and a gluten free margarita pizza. That oven must use hell fire. I've never been told 10 minutes for even one pizza pie but 3... Sigh. Should have said NOPE! - but gave them a try... The crust was beyond your standard thin crust. No structure to the pizza & the cheese slid off the dough when you went to grab a slice. The dough barley had any color to it. The pepperroni had some flavor due to the pepperroni itself but same issue as the cheese. Also, the cook time was evident. The pepperroni didn't even cook well. It was an oily mess. The gluten free crust was good but the toppings were bad. The tomatoes were not plump red but a translucent red. Hardly any cheese or sauce. I'm guessing because this spot supports all the local teams is why everyone gives them good ratings. This is no where close to good pizza. I'd take my school cafeteria pizza over this "pizza." See photos for disappointment. Also, plenty of parking.

I literally come here at least 2 times a month if not more. Every time I go in there to pick up the online order or if I call it in the owner “Jack” is always rude but I continue to go to his business because the food is usually good. Tonight I go and it’s busy as usual, asked for my name then took 3 phone calls and handed out delivery orders without even looking for my order. Then asked me again for my name, proceeded to take 2 more phone calls. Finally found my order, I get home and I didn’t get what I ordered with one of my entree’s. Then pretty much had no solution to the issue except to remake it when I’m already home which is like 15 minutes away. I don’t post bad reviews my google reviews are public and you can see them. I pretty much get the same order every time I visit and mind you what I added to the entree is printed on the receipt but I didn’t receive it. The local Loyal customers who come back over and over are worth more then the one time customer, I get it was busy but then I was passed around on the phone 3-4 times trying to resolve the issue which didn’t get resolved

This place is a hidden gem. Connecticut is known for having a lot of pizzeria locally owned restaurants. We have 2 like 5 mins away from our home, in Uncasville. We discovered Jack's on a afternoon after shopping. We sat outside and my boyfriend had a beer, ordered 12 garlic knots. Only 5$, we were skeptical. Also ordered mozzarella sticks. The garlic knots were AMAZING. Bread was very soft - garlic buttery goodness and marinara upon request. The mozzarella sticks were just as amazing. We had the white spinach pizza to finish. I don't like spinach much but this pizza was 10 stars. It was so good!! This time, we ordered some delivery. We live 15 mins away - and they were willing to make the delivery from Norwich to Uncasville. It only took maybe 30 minutes for it to arrive - very impressive. This time we got the specialty pizza the Capprossa - crispy thin crust yet soft and tender - super yummy with a side of garlic bread with cheese. They must house make their sauce - it has so many herbs in it and you can taste. Basil, parsley, dill... a must visit.

This is a long one!!! My husband has gone to Jacks before and had a better experience but this was something else. My first time there last night, and I don’t us going back. First off the floors and seating were dirty and no one was actively cleaning it up (not too busy went in around 8:15) watched them reset tables and sit people at dirty seats ( we were one of them). My husband had to brush food off the seat to sit. Went to use my utensils and I didn’t have a fork, it was a rolled up knife in a napkin. My husband ordered Cajun chicken pasta and (he liked the flavor) buuutttt me as a prior restaurant manager and chef, I also know a Alfredo sauce is not supposed to be broken and served on a plate where there is no creaminess to the sauce and leaking a massive amount of oil around the sides. That is caused by reheating improperly. I got a spinach roll which I was extremely disappointed with and barely ate. It was said to have meat in it but I couldn’t find it, and it was lacking in flavor. The entire time we were there there was two waitresses, talking about personal stuff at the bar, ignoring customers, and not cleaning up. We had also gotten an appetizer and clam chowder, which was good, but our plates sat on the table throughout the entire time until our meal came even with the bus boy and other waitresses walking by. The waitresses never asked how things were until we were done, so I expressed my concern very politely apologizing for being one of those people that I didn’t like to deal with myself… waitress was a bit argumentative about the pasta telling me she watched herself and they make it fresh ( she didn’t she was chatting behind the bar with the other waitress) she also said my spinach roll has no meat in it, it told her yes it does and she grabbed the menus and tried to prove me wrong, I proved her wrong as it’s spinach sausage pepperoni ricotta and mozzarella. Then she tells me there’s 4 slices of meat in it (which is absurd), and because I added extra ricotta that it makes it have no flavor. I was dumbfounded. All of those ingredients in that spinach roll when in proper ratio and seasoned correctly with a little garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasonings, would be wonderful. (If someone ordered extra ricotta, I would think they know a good ricotta since it’s not a typical extra topping). I feel really bad writing this review but for such high reviews I was shocked to have such a poor experience. Best things about my experience was the clam chowder and waitress taking my spinach roll off the bill since I sent 2/3 of it back to the kitchen and didn’t want it also my husband loved the chicken on top of the pasta… so 2 stars here for my...

Went in with my boyfriend and immediately had to walk over a pile of dirt on the floor which would've been fine if it was being cleaned but the staff was just standing there chit chatting with their phones out. The manager was maaaaaad but he sat us down and instead of putting us in a nice area you would want to sit a couple on a date we got put right next to the bar where there was 4 obnoxious people drinking. We still kept trying to make the best of it. Our waitress ignored us most of the night, even got the people who showed up 20 minutes after us all paid out and ready to leave 20 minutes before finally waking us about our check. The food was good. DON'T EVER ORDER A HOUSE SALAD!! We couldn't even believe they brought us what they did and called it a salad! Nothing but lettuce, topped with roasted red peppers (weird and not what goes on a house salad) with 1 slice of cucumber and literally A HALF of a grape tomato!! You know how Tony a GRAPE TOMATO IS?!!? I got 1 half and he got the other 🤣 The garlic bread looked great but was pretty dry. My chicken parmesan was pretty good but definitely would've been 100x better if it arrived hot and fresh. Instead the noodles were ice cold and chicken was just warm when it arrived. His shrimp and noodles had way too much sauce he said but was pretty tasty and it took forrrrrever just to get a refill on his soda. The busboy was on point tho! He cleared our table, taking our plates and checking on us. He should've been our server!! It's a nice place and fair prices and we made it a great night just being out together but not the best experience for our first date...
