I normally never have an issue with Walgreens. Ever since I moved back from West Hartford and use the Norwich Walgreens. Sadly I feel they are overwhelmed. However the last two visits ruined my nights. No humanity with one of the pharmacist. I’ve had nothing but unacceptable service it seems like the communication needs improvement.I’ve unfortunately had two very disappointing experiences at the Norwich Walgreens pharmacy. The main issues revolve around poor communication and unprofessional service from one of the pharmacists. Firstly, there’s a lack of clear communication regarding medication availability. I’ve received conflicting information from different staff members, which is frustrating and time-consuming. Secondly, there were problems with processing my insurance. I was told that my medication wasn’t covered unless I obtained a pre-authorization. This was incorrect because I didn’t need a pre-authorization the last time I used the same RX card. It seems this was due to incorrect data entry rather than an actual coverage issue. The most upsetting part of my experience involved the pharmacist, Mohammed. When I sought help with the insurance problem, he was extremely unhelpful and rude. Instead of attempting to find a solution, he abruptly asked me to leave the line, claiming he needed to attend to other customers. This was not only embarrassing but also left my issue unresolved. In contrast, when I called East Lyme pharmacist for help, they were polite, patient, and worked with me to find a solution. This stark difference in customer service is unacceptable. I strongly believe that Mohammed needs to improve his customer service skills and bedside manner. A pharmacy should be a place where customers feel supported and respected, especially when dealing with important health-related matters. I hope Walgreens management addresses these issues promptly to improve the experience for all customers at...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst Walgreens that I have ever been a customer at in my 55 years of living, and I have had many consecutive years working with Walgreens up and down the east coast ! The manager on duty the night January 23 was rude, as they usually are, especially the women, I guess they feel empowered not employeed, and getting a prescription filled at this Walgreens is like an adventure, from the beginning of the process to the end ! The head pharmacist and many of the senior employees are great, but the feeling you get from this pharmacy is that they are doing you a favor by helping you, and really it is not surprising, the parent store, Walgreens knows they are the 3rd busiest store in Connecticut and doesn't mind letting the public spend 20 min. on the phone or in long lines, and then there is the pharmacy employees that just should be fired, but hey, this is Norwich Connecticut, who cares right ! You know that it is easier to go to the new Walgreens in Jewett City, then it is to go to the one near my house on Main St. Norwich ! Good job Walgreens, you make deals with insurance carrier's and pharmaceutical companies like Humana so people have to buy there prescriptions at Walgreens and Walgreens only ! When i was young they had a word fir...
