I had sent an email on 7/18 for a custom macaron cake. Going back and forth on flavor, design and size I was given a quote on 7/24 and replied if a deposit was needed and never heard back. I sent another email on 7/30 for a confirmation and never got a reply. So I decided to call the shop, I spoke to the owner over the phone and she had told me she could not find our emails so she would take it over the phone. I asked for the same thing I asked for in the email. A custom macaron cake in the letter “N” decorated like her most recent “M” cake she had done with floral and macarons on top. Paid a deposit and was expecting a cake much like the most recent one that was posted. The cake was picked up this past weekend by my mom since I was at work and couldn’t pick it up. Once my mom picked up she sent me a picture and the cake was not designed on how I ordered it. Cake had 2 macarons on top and tiny flowers, the cake was plain on top. I called the shop and spoke to the owner and her first excuse was that she took too many orders and may have written the wrong thing on my order form. Ok let’s make this right since it’s not what I ordered and paid for. So I asked for the rest of the macarons that should have been on the top of my cake. She agreed and I went in today to pick up the macarons, spoke to the owner again and she asked what the issue was again and I had again told her what I had ordered was not what I was given. She then hands me the macarons I was picking up and asks me to leave the shop. I told her I was actually going to purchase other items from her and she refused to and tells me she doesn’t want my business. I then said she was being rude and disrespectful to a customer that wants to still support her business after an order was wrong. She proceeds to argue with me and tell me she doesn’t need my business and gives me the nougat for free and says to enjoy my free items and to never come back. I offered to pay for them and she continued to argue with me after I had shown her our emails from my order request, still denying that what I ordered was exactly what I got. She also told me that I was lucky to get buttercream in my cake since she doesn’t offer that for macaron cakes, but she was the one that offered me the buttercream option through email! As I was leaving she tells me to enjoy my free items since that’s all I was asking for coming in to complain. I walk right back inside and ask her to charge me for the items since that’s what I asked for from the beginning but she refused to charge me and gave me the candy for free and told me to tell my mother to enjoy her free items and to never come back and do any business with her. Once she charges me she tells me my card is declined and not working which was a lie and worked perfectly fine after trying again.
If she has ran this business for 10 years you would think she would know by now how to take constructive criticism from paying customers that didn’t get what they paid for in a custom order. She was completely disrespectful arguing with a customer and not wanting to take responsibility for her...
Read moreLovely store, friendly owners! The owner was so attentive and helped me pick out my assortment of macarons and informed me of all the selections on their drink menu. I chose the Affogato, which was incredible. The double dark chocolate macs were my absolute favorite. The shells could not have been any more soft, chewy, rich and full with that very outside layer having that perfect bite and the ganache filling was out of this world smooth, rich and velvety- if you love chocolate as much as I do- these are a must! I also selected pistachio, mango cream, wild berry lilac (I believe is what it's called), cappuccino, rose (something), and french vanilla. My daughter went straight for the pistachio, as her favorite color is green. She's more of a sweet mac lover- chocolate, fruity or cotton candy. I wasn't expecting her to love it, but she devoured it, along with the wild berry, which I was really hoping to try a little bite of! My son loved the vanilla and mango. I generally don't prefer mango, but I did enjoy this particular mac! Besides having a fantastic experience in this store, I genuinely enjoyed each one of these macarons and will be headed there first thing tomorrow to try some more flavors and get myself some more of those chocolate ones! This store is sadly, with traffic, almost 2 hours from my house, but well worth the drive. Especially when I'm not in the baking mood to make these myself. I also have to say no where near me comes close to how amazing these are! You can tell just from the photos these are going to be great, but the flavors far exceeded my expectations, and I had high...
Read moreOh my!!! Exceeded my expectations! I ordered a box off Amazon as Macarons are an extreme favorite treat of mine. Let me tell you in the most honest review I can make, these are the most delicious macarons I've ever tasted! Delicate pastry, crispy on surface at first bite but cake like under the crispy top as a proper macaron should be.Then there's the filling...perfect amount ratio to pastry. It's the authenticity of flavor that hits your pallete that will prove to you why this company's product is worth every penny you invest in. True to the name of the description, each flavor tastes exactly like what it is...the pistachio, the passion fruit, almond, chocolate, etc...you would impress ANYONE by sending a box as a gift! It will make their day, or get a box and invite friends over for a high tea and serve these as part of the dessert. I promise, they're excellent and each delicate one is in its own miniature ziplock pouch for freshness! The cardboard box is strong and sturdy that will keep product inside safe from being crushed. A handwritten note is enclosed from Leila herself, which if there is anything that's not quite perfect let me say the penmanship leaves something to be improved upon..(sorry, I did say I'd be honest) and as a smile flits across my lips for saying so to that, I couldn't be more sincere as to the deliciousness of this product. Penmanship removed, it's the hands that go into the hard work they do to bring such a great high level of...
