Cafe Fresh Bagel — Restaurant in Norwood

This is a tough one for me- I come and grab lunch at this location probably once a month! I enjoy the food and tip well! However I will no longer be returning to this location after the rude behavior from one of the staff members. Their door was open and I had some hungry kiddos excited to eat when the woman said to me: “Did you not see the sign on the door? We’re out of bagels!” I said “Oh bummer no worries let’s go guys.” BUT THEN she loudly said “ no one ever reads the signs!” I didn’t see it- there was a paper sign that stated credit card minimum $5 but nothing that stood out saying no bagels. It was probably there but I did not see it. I stated that she didn’t have to be so rude- like why even say anything as we were leaving? It seemed like she was looking for a fight. When leaving I notice more patrons entering so obviously their signage was not very visible. Also, what if I just wanted coffee or a drink? They so clearly did not want to serve and should have locked their doors. Rude rude and rude! I could understand if I was being a Karen but I did absolutely nothing wrong to experience that hostility. Beware of the grinch at cafe...

Went here for the first time. I should’ve uploaded a new photo of the menu, as prices have changed. Bagels are $2 and breakfast sandwiches are $6. Not unreasonable, because the breakfast sandwich is the BEST I’ve had in the area. The sausage was a little spicier than I expected, but good. Cream cheese seems a little costly ($6+ for 8oz, which is enough for 4-6 bagels). I was really pleased to see they use fresh ingredients (bacon was cooking next to eggs on the flat top, not microwaved). The bagels and cream cheese were fantastic. Will definitely go back.

For being short handed, they handled it well. The wait wasn’t too bad and worth it for the quality of the food. Clearly they’re popular because at 10:30am on a weekday they were pretty busy. The parking lot isn’t massive, but I had zero issues...

I have been a long time customer of Cafe Fresh Bagel in South Norwood for over 15 years. I frequent this restaurant 4-5 times per week and thus am in a very strong position to give my long term perspective on its overall quality of foodband service along with consistency.

I am pleased to state that Cafe Fresh Bagel is truly a restaurant of the highest all-around quality! Their quality and selection of bagels is consistently excellent. Their egg dishes and egg-based sandwiches are very tasty and generous in size!

I am also most happy with their quality, tastefulness, and selection of both hot and iced coffees!

The restaurant owners Dorothy and Dina in particular are most pleasant, personable and polite!

I give this all-around truly excellent restaurant my highest...
