I visited the Magic Room to see the RUSH project. I never even heard of this club prior to seeing this advertisement on Instagram. I read the reviews and attended open minded. The plaza was great! The parking was excellent. Inside the venue was so cool. I love the eclectic vibe! Reminded me of Pee-Wee Herman’s house meets New Orleans. Bathrooms were just as cool! Very clean, well staffed and sound was great. After reading older reviews I did agree that the entryway which was also the exit was to congested. This was true. The reviews also stated lack of seating and only beer and wine for alcohol and soda.. this is true too. However while sitting next to the stage the owner introduced himself to almost everyone who was there and I mentioned the entrance to him and he was very receptive and pointed out the emergency exit’s right next to us. He’s working on the main area. Seating.. plenty of seats on the side of the venue and plenty of folding chairs. The bar is still the same. He did mention that he’s working on licensing for spirits. I’ve been to plenty of clubs in my life who didn’t even come close to The Magic Room. We also met the owner’s daughter! Such a great family. Check this place out! It was 💯 worth the hour...
Read moreI think they have the makings of a great local music venue, BUT ... needs lots of work. I'll make 3 suggestions. Most critically ... you need to improve the sound. The mix last night for "Won't Back Down" was a mess from the start (I could see the members of the band thought so, too - and not just at the beginning). You also need to add more chairs/tables; I know that takes up limited floor space, but no one over 50 wants to stand the entire time. Lastly, get the liquor license figured out - offering only beer/wine is pretty narrow when I'm spending $30 for a ticket. Thanks and good luck. We'll give it another shot (another time), but we didn't stay long...
Read moreMe and my coworkers went here to support another coworkers band. It's really interesting once you start looking around in this place, i'm referring to the art. Its a small venue but it's a nice environment no matter where you are it feels like you have the best spot in the place. The band was awesome. (Back to the 80's). The place has a small bar they only serve beer🍺. I didn'tmind that it keeps everyone on there best behavior. All the staff were happy to and friendly actually the entire place was. Overall it was a good time. It's definitely worth...
