Chok Dee Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Norwood

Be warned, to get to the restroom, you will need to walk around the building to the back (because you can't walk through the kitchen).

That being said,... this IS a fantastic restaurant with fantastic food and an amazing owner who is always, I mean ALWAYS attending to customer needs. The owner is extremely nice and kind-spirited. On a hot day, she even brought out a fan and placed facing me to keep me cool. I mean if the food was bad here, I would probably still go occasionally just to support the owner.

Now.. The food... I have ordered about 35-40 different items off of their menu. None of items on the menu are bad, let alone, average. Every item on their menu is on point! I have never been to a restaurant where I was impressed with every single thing I ordered. Even their plain house soup is great.

You MUST try their Sriracha Fried Rice! You MUST try their Corn Fritters! You MUST try their Crispy Duck!

This is a Thai Place and I haven't mentioned Pad Thai, why? Because they aren't a great Thai Restaurant,... They are a great Restaurant in general.

I had ordered from here before. Food tonight wasn’t fresh. Papaya salad seemed like leftovers from lunch time. Rice that came with the curry looked like rice that are a few days old. (First hand experience- rice that i make at home looked like this after at least 2-3 days.) if it’s not that old, please get a new rice cooker!!

Pork belly dish had pork belly that was very dried up. Pork belly is so fatty, that this probably was cooked over and over to get this chewy.

I debated getting food from here vs Ammata kitchen. Should have gone to the other place. I understand that price have gone up everywhere, but quality should be there, especially since the portions became smaller and prices higher. Very disappointing meal that...

I work in Northvale, so I frequent this Thai restaurant for lunch. Online ordering is available which is super convenient for a quick pick up.

Service is usually pretty snappy, but the dine in space is very limited.

As for the food, one of my favorite things about this place is their ginger dressing; it is to die for! Lunch specials come with a small side garden salad and choice of appetizer like a spring roll or dumpling, etc. All app choices are great; you can't go wrong. Also the portions are spot on.

Lunch special options are great. My usual is the Pad See Ew and you can choose your protein and spice level.
