Sushi and More At our first visit, we learned that Asahi Sushi has new owners. I do not know what it was like before, but this has become our go-to place for sushi. When you arrive and decide to have the all-you-can-eat dinner, you are presented with a pen and two printed menus - one is from the sushi bar and the other is from the kitchen. The sushi menu is self explanatory - you can order single pieces of sushi or sashimi, or entire rolls (6-8 pieces) There is a large selection of fish and seafood to choose from. On the kitchen menu are noodle dishes, tempura, salads (e.g. seafood salad), soups and desserts. We have been there at least five times in the last 3 months and it is always a pleasurable experience. The food is excellent, the sushi is fresh, the hot dishes are delicious and the presentation of the food is like a work of art. Some of the servers are not good speakers of English which is not a problem since you use pen and printed menus to make your choices. This is a BYOB (although we do not associated sushi with wine, we noticed that other customer brought bottles of wine in). During our last visit, the owner came and introduced herself to us. She had noticed that we were repeat customers and we chatted a bit. We intend on continuing coming to Asahi Sushi - it is probably the best sushi restaurant...

Local sushi joint claim to fame is their all you can eat special. Have been a few times nothing to report just meh experience. My daughter on the other likes (ed) the place and was a regular. After tonight's experience will not be back.

We arrived and after a bit were seated and placed our order. Food never came, we ask our server to check a couple of times nothing as we watched tables around us getting food and saw a table across the room arrive, order, eat and leave. It becomes obvious they lost our order. We ask to see the manager server again says she will check -- manager never comes over. Finally food finally arrives not what we ordered but at this point just want to eat something and get out. Still no visit from manager.

We ask for the check and hand them credit card and coupon server looks at coupon and puts it down and runs my card comes back without the discount. Tell her its wrong she grumbles goes in the back to manager who still doesn't come over hands me the six bucks and we leave.

Yes - stuff happens orders get lost but the way they handled the situation was inexcusable. Is it so hard to acknowledge there is a problem apologize and expedite the order? We will never return nor will our daughter who was a...

It’s an Americanized version of raw fish eatery, the Sashimi is noteworthy.

👎👎👎 BUT the seafood called rolls CANNOT / MUST NEVER BE CALLED SUSHI, ESPECIALLY THE ONES DOUSED IN SAUCE.

  • Sushi is clean simple cuts of fresh fish. And the rice would be Tamanishiki or Koshihikari premium varieties of short-grain rice. The amount of rice would be minimal and the FISH IS KING.

  • Real Sushi Rolls are always wrapped in Nori, NO SAUCES.

The place is an all-you-can-eat concept, which draws quite a crowd. There’s a menu sheet on which one ticks what one wants.

👍 The one good thing about the menu is that there’s nothing of that horrid cheese so common in raw fish eateries in America.

🫤🫤🫤 the tricky thing are rolls, several are doused in sauces… SO TO REALLY SAVOR THE FLAVOR OF FISH, INSIST ON NO SAUCE.

👎👎👎 a common complaint seems to be the large amount of rice

👎👎👎 the tempura has a thick batter

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 the WORST FAUX PAS IS THE SO-CALLED CRABMEAT, which is FAKE CRAB as is admitted by the serves.

Sashimi is notable👏👏👏👏👏, regular cuts and quiet fresh. BUT choices are limited.

All the rolls are the inside out, some more tasty than others. Some have thinner layer of rices (which should be) than others…

Service is good. The...

I always trying to be reasonable with my reviews so I will write this based on my experience. I came in to dine with my kids, there is no kids menu but they do charge for each kid if less than 10 y.o. My kids don’t eat sushi so I told server I want them to be excluded from the bill. I did instead order separate fried rice and chicken for kids. Chicken was dry, kids didn’t eat it, rice was ok. We ordered many different sushi to try, the one that said spicy wasn’t spicy at all. Some sushi tasted blend, all you can taste is salmon nothing else. I wasn’t impressed with sushi for sure. Another thing that strikes me, since this is all you can eat, the drinks should have been included but they charge for soda, we ended up paying by $8 for just sodas. Fried appetizers, calamari and zucchini that we ordered had no taste at all, the dough smelled like old oil. Our total bill came out around $130 with taxes and 15% tip. I feel like that’s how much we pay in the restaurant having a nice family meal all together. So this place is definitely not cheap.

A decent sushi restaurant, beautiful interior, with traditional Japanese style sitting area. They offer "All you can eat", weekdays $21.99, weekends (Fri-Sun) $23.99. Prices are somewhat high for the size of sushi rolls they serve. We ordered the Red Dragon, Empire, and Bergen rolls to go. Our order was ready within 20 minutes. When we opened the boxes at home, was pretty surprised to see the size of rolls. Also, there was no additional sides like soup or salad, which we usually get from sushi places near our home. We liked the red dragon and Bergen rolls, but Empire roll was lil disappointing. The seaweed didn't taste well with rest of the sushi. The three rolls were not enough for two of us to fill up our tummy. TL;DR: Food taste - 3/5 Food prep time - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Price - $$$ Items tried: Red Dragon roll - 5/5 Bergen roll - 4/5 Empire roll - 3/5
