We stopped in for lunch not knowing what to expect since this place is pretty new. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is clean and we are promptly greeted by our server was very friendly. We received chips immediately and they have a salsa bar with six or eight different types of salsa of varying degrees of hotness. Likewise they have several different types of hot sauce at the table to include Valentina which is my daughter's favorite. I ordered two sopas which were delicious. The tortilla was handmade and there was a good amount of meat on the sopa. I had to take one home it was so filling. My wife has chicken hurracha which likewise was delicious and a generous portion. The prices were great. My favorite Mexican restaurant is LaQuetzal in Concord but this place is giving them a run for their money. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. The location is very convenient for people who are at lake tillery.

Authentic delicious Mexican food. Also the only place we know of in Stanly county that has lengua. We’ve eaten here several times and it’s always so good! The street burrito is huge and has a good ratio of all the ingredients. The birria is reallly cheesy and the consome broth has a great flavor.

I just wanted tacos today. Got two steak and one fish. Those grilled onions on top had great flavor. Fish taco was great. Steak tacos excellent also. I got the mild green sauce and hot sauce from sauce bar. Great flavors.

Overall, our experience was not great. The server struggled with taking our order because of language difficulties but was very friendly and attentive. The chips came to the table but no salsa so I ordered a queso dip. The queso was extremely thin, like soup instead of dip, and it dripped on me and the table with every chip. It wasn't until I went to wash my hands that I noticed a salsa bar in the corner with no sneeze guard and the bins left wide open. I ordered a torta al pastor and my son ordered a beef tongue dish which is not always easy to find so he was excited. My sandwich was not seasoned well and the pork had very little flavor. It also didn't come with any cheese which was sad. While we were eating, I watched the server take a large container of water and add it to the bins in the salsa bar so I'm guessing as the stuff is used they just add water to refill it instead of adding more salsa. That explained my cheese dip to me. The bill came and it wasn't itemized so I was kind of shocked at how much it was but then realized my son's dish was more than I thought. Not worth the cost unless you like beef tongue dishes was my take away. I will not be going back. My son stated he liked his meal but he will get it to go next...

Ordered steak and chicken fajitas and it was horrible. The meat tasted sour and smelled funny. I then order the chicken taquitos and the chicken was horrible too along with a sour taste and smells funny. I ordered a carnitas taco and it wasn’t too bad. The meat could’ve been better. No flavor on the food. Very disappointed and will report this business to the health dept. so the kitchen food can be checked for proper temperature. Folks if you want good food don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere else. Service and waitress was nice and friendly and did apologized. They didn’t charge...
