MR NOCERA YOUR NORWOOD RESTAURANT HAS GOOD SERVICE, EHH! ITALIAN LIKE FOOD, THE VICTIM OF CARELESS CHEFS WHO DONT RESPECT THE CUSTOMERS OR OWNERS
I know this restaurant chain was started by Lou Nocera's parents way back in 1933. I can imagine the pride that the Nocera family must have put in every dish of authentic Italian cooking--good food and plenty of it
Their success lead to their children and grandchild opening a chain or restaurants selling what I would only consider Italian Like food
I visited this restaurant for a pre Christmas Dinner 2017. The nice, mature hosting staff who seem like they have worked their a long time seated fast even though the parking was full
I ordered their top dish Lobster Diavolo and my wife ordered a Trio package of a Meatball, Lasagne and Chicken Parm etc. We liked the Italian bread as always.
My Lobster Diavolo which I enjoyed at the Waltham Chateau had some shrimp but little lobster in it. It was covered in a heavy goupy sauce and the sphaghetti under it was so over cooked they were like paste
My wife's trio dish was also covered ithe same heavy goupy sauce, so much so that what she ordered was totally unrecognizable. She picked at it then left most of it
I complained to the waitress and my dish was replaced without any problems with the fried haddock, which was good but the portion was small, and the french fries lacked any crispness
I said to myself, whoever is cooking in this restaurant ought to be fired as they are ruining the hard build brand reputation that the Nocera family has worked many decades to build up. The food isnt terrible, its mediocre, neither good nor bad
I didnt like writing a bad review as the Nocera's are nice philanthropic people from Waltham the town where I live,. but I was out of pocket a nice evening, and $67 dollars and I dont think thats fair
If the restaurant owners contact me show me how they have addressed the concerns I laid out here, I will...
Read moreI go there as a family as we always have. A total of five of us. We were so lucky because the place was empty, no wait a minute (well actually an hour because that's how long we waited and still didn't get seated. My wife asked the maitre d about our seats and she told us the party were still seated even though thirty minutes before that she said our booth was being cleaned. So after being patient and respectful for an hour can you believe when we asked the hostess about our booth she lied to us again and had the nerve to be rude and have an attitude like we did something wrong by coming to her establishment even though our family have been going there from before we were married and without children. Now our children are out of the nest and we still are going there but not anymore. After tonight the way we were treated and standing there with tables and booth's open being told there are no seats and then told they have one booth and it's being cleaned to an hour later being lied to and being told the present party are still seated is so UN professional, disrespectful, dishonest, rude, in plain word's (WRONG). Yes I loved their food, atmosphere. The overall establishment was great. Now due to the way I was treated like myself and my family were unimportant, not worthy of, like we were all trash I will never step foot in The Chateau again. Our children were so embarrassed the walked out with their heads down like they did something wrong. I had to explain to them some individuals don't know how to treat the working class people if our country especially when we don't look like them. May you all have a...
Read moreWe had family dinner here because it is a walk across the parking lot from our hotel. Restaurant looked packed from the outside but inside, it was very roomy that it was not crowded. They have a dining room with plenty of seating and a lounge and bar area with tons of booths and tables as well. It is a huge restaurant. It was a bit too dim for my liking but the food wasn’t great either.
Our server was pretty great; bubbly, friendly and super helpful, however, she did forget my soup, our drinks and a few other things. The sliced bread loaf was cold and just that, sliced bread. We got the sampler appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were decent, chicken fingers with honey mustard was the best thing we ate there and toasted raviolis were dry and bland.
Pizza was soggy but their sausage was tasty. Spaghetti was overcooked and it was in a red sauce that looked creamy and was bland. The twin petite filets were COLD, mashed potatoes barely lukewarm, gravy came out COLD and gelatinous. Only hot item from that meal was the sautéed spinach. I couldn’t eat the petite filet meal at all and had to send it back. It felt and looked like it sat out all night as it was a special and they didn’t heat it through. The manager was kind to offer me other items from their menu but I was completely done with dinner at that point.
I don’t recommend this restaurant nor will I...
