BBQ Hut — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Very disappointed on how they ripped me off there. Look at their online menu for a full kalbi plate & meat jun plate. So i took $40 with me to pay for the 2 plates plus tax w/tip according to their online advertised retail price. The base price there on location was over $40! They're advertising an earlier menu just to get you in. Then they say oh you must be mistaking!? Right! I had to go to the car to grab change to make up for it. And after that she looks at me like "tip"? There was another guy there that i sat with waiting for my order. He said they caught him the same way. They're dishonest business people there. After today i'm looking for another location. False advertising is false advertising. Before over a year ago i used to pick-up 1-2x a week there. Gave the girl a $5 tip everytime. Tried this place on a whim with my family. Service is A++ as they are friendly and accommodating. We asked the kitchen to cut our kalbi since it's hard to cut with plastic knives.

Main food dishes like korean chicken, chicken katsu, and kalbi was really good. Meat jun seemed like it could be better.

Side dishes were ok. Kim chi cabbage and cucumber probably needed to sit a bit longer as it lacked flavor. But other sides line corn potato, and seaweed eye delicious.

Very clean and spectacular hospitality, it’s funny how I started this review even before I got my food! The food at the hot bar looks fresh, which rare for places that offer one.

I came here, actually heading to Denny’s and decided to try something different. The restaurants nearby offer rather pricy meals, and this one offers pretty reasonable prices compared to its competitors.
